Antonius Stanislaus Nicolaas Ludovicus Dupuis (18 February 1877, Antwerp – 13 October 1937, The Hague) was a Dutch sculptor and medallist of Belgian origin. Dupuis was a lecturer at the Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten in The Hague. Among his works are a picture of Johannes Zwijsen in the St. Dionysius Church in Tilburg, a statue of Petrus Canisius in the Hunnerpark te Nijmegen, a bust of mgr. Nolens in the in Nijmegen and a bust of Jozef Israëls that is in the collection of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Francine Toon (born 1986), also writing as Francine Elena, is a British writer. Early life Toon was born in Canterbury, England, in 1986, and moved to the Scottish Highlands, near Dornoch, at the age of nine after living in England and Portugal. Colin Toon
Colin Toon (born 26 April 1940) is an English retired footballer who played for Mansfield Town as a full-back. Toon played mainly at right-back, but was also occasionally used on the left side of defence. Toon joined Mansfield as an amateur in 1956, and signed as a professional in July 1957. He made his debut on 25 January 1958 against Accrington Stanley. When Raich Carter became Mansfield manager in 1960, he made the young Toon his first-choice right-back, and between September 1960 and March 1963, Toon enjoyed a run of 111 consecutive league appearances for the club. During the 1962–63 season, Toon played 42 out of a possible 46 league games when Mansfield won promotion from Division Four. He also scored the only goal of his career that season, in the 2–3 defeat against Workington on 14 March 1963. Albert Lee Toon Jr. (born April 30, 1963) is a former professional American football wide receiver who played for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons. A two-time First-team All-Big Ten pick at the University of Wisconsin, Toon set several school football records for the Wisconsin Badgers. The three-time Pro Bowl selectee played his entire NFL career with the Jets (1985-1992), leading his team and the league in receptions during the late 1980s. Anton J. J. "Toon" van Helfteren (born 20 February 1951) is a Dutch former basketball player and current coach of Feyenoord Basketball. Van Helfteren played in the Dutch Basketball League from 1971 till 1990. He was the coach of ZZ Leiden from 2008 till 2014. He also was the coach of the Dutch national basketball team for six years, starting in 2013 and ending in 2019. Anthonie Wilhelmus (Toon) Verhoef (born Voorburg, October 17, 1946) is a Dutch painter, ceramist and art lecturer. Biography Verhoef attended the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam in 1965-1966, and studied art history at the University of South Africa in Johannesburg from 1966 to 1968. Subsequently, he received further art education at the Ateliers '63 in Haarlem from 1968 to 1970. Verhoef settled as independent artist and over the years worked in Eindhoven, Buenos Aires in Argentina, Wales, Amsterdam, Johannesburg (South-Africa), Haarlem, Edam, New York City, and Hanover (New Hampshire). Antonius Otto Hermannus (Toon) Tellegen (born 18 November 1941) is a Dutch writer, poet, and physician, known for children's books, especially those featuring anthropomorphised animals, particularly those about an ant and a squirrel. His writings are also enjoyed by adults, due to the amusing, bizarre situations that Tellegen creates, as well as their dealings with philosophical subjects.
