Toombul District Cricket Club is an Australian cricket club based in Nundah, Queensland, in the city of Brisbane. Overview The Toombul District Cricket Club (Toombul DCC or simply TDCC) is a Queensland Cricket Association cricket club which competes in the Queensland Premier Cricket competition, the top level of cricket played in Queensland. The Queensland Premier Cricket competition has grade levels from Premier Grade to Sixth Grade, with Toombul fielding teams across six senior grades, as well as an U/16 Lords Taverners side. Toombul also has a comprehensive junior club, Toombul DCC - Juniors which fields age-group sides from under 6's to under 16's, and a Milo in2Cricket programme. Toombul is equal with Souths as the most successful cricket club in Queensland, having secured 21 Premier Grade premierships in its history, the most recent coming in the 2012/13 season. Nundah (previously called German Station) is an inner suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It contains the neighbourhood of Toombul. In the , Nundah had a population of 12,141 people. Prior to European settlement, Nundah was inhabited by Aboriginal people from the Turrbul tribe. Nundah is primarily a residential suburb, which straddles Sandgate Road, one of the major arterial roads of Brisbane's north. It was first settled by Europeans in the mid-19th century, although the suburb remained primarily a rural area until it was connected to Brisbane via railway in the 1880s. Originally considered a working-class suburb, the area has become gentrified in recent years, and today features a mix of traditional worker's cottages and modern high-density apartment blocks. Percy Hornibrook
Percival Mitchell Hornibrook (27 July 1899 – 25 August 1976) was an Australian cricketer who played in six Test matches from 1929 to 1930. Career Hornibrook made his first class debut in 1919–20 against Victoria, taking four wickets. In 1920–21 he took 3–89 for Queensland against the touring English side. He was selected for the Australian side which toured New Zealand in 1921 and took 47 first class wickets at an average of 12. According to ''Wisden'', "Many thought he should have been included in the 1921 side to England, which was distinctly weak in slow-wicket bowling, though in the event it not require it." Errold La Frantz
Errold Campbell La Frantz MBE (25 May 1919 – 20 February 2015) was an Australian cricketer, administrator, and commentator. He played a single first-class match for Queensland during the 1941–42 season. From Brisbane, La Frantz's sole match at state level came against New South Wales in November 1941, at a time when the Sheffield Shield competition was suspended. He was 22 at the time of his debut, and had played matches for Queensland Colts sides during the previous seasons. La Frantz, a left-handed batsman who bowled leg spin with the opposite hand, came in third in both innings of his first-class debut, behind openers Geoff Cook and Rex Rogers. He was bowled by Bill O'Reilly for six in the first innings, and made seven in the second innings before being dismissed in the same fashion by Ray Lindwall, who was also making his first-class debut. Christopher Austin Lynn (born 10 April 1990) is an Australian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman who plays for Queensland in Australian domestic cricket. Lynn was born in Brisbane, Queensland, and attended St Joseph's Nudgee College and the Queensland Academy of Sport. He is known for being an explosive batsman capable of hitting big sixes. Early career When not on professional duties, Lynn plays senior cricket for Toombul District Cricket Club in Brisbane. Luke Pomersbach
Luke Anthony Pomersbach (born 28 September 1984) is a former Australian cricketer. He played mainly for Western Australia and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Citing mental health issues, he retired from the game in June 2014. Career Pomersbach made his Ford Ranger Cup debut for Western Australia in their match against New South Wales in November 2006, scoring 33 runs from 47 balls. In December 2006 in a two-day tour match at the WACA against a touring England XI, he showed his potential, scoring 101 not out. Cameron John Boyce (born 27 July 1989) is an Australian cricketer. He is a right-arm leg break bowler who has played for several domestic teams in Australia and has appeared in seven T20I matches for the Australian cricket team. Boyce began playing cricket for his home state of Queensland in the 2009/10 summer. He was dropped from Queensland's team and moved to Tasmania in 2016, before being dropped again by Tasmania in 2018. Ryan Harris (cricketer)
Ryan James Harris (born 11 October 1979) is an Australian cricket coach and former cricketer. He was a right-arm fast bowler who was a member of the Australia national cricket team until retiring in the Ashes tour lead up of 2015 due to a knee injury. It had hampered him for a majority of his career, but despite this, he performed as one of Australia's most highly rated fast bowlers. Career Ryan Harris played with the Southern Redbacks from 2001–02 to 2007–08.
