Anthony John "Tony" Ward (1924 – 9 May 2006) was an Australian television actor, director and producer and journalist. He is regarded as Australian television's original action star, on ''Hunter'', and was an inaugural reporter on two national current affairs programs, ''Seven Days'' and ''A Current Affair''. Life Anthony John Ward was born in Sydney. His father was a public servant. He was educated at a Catholic primary school before going to Parramatta Marist High School, and then became a trainee radiographer at Lewisham Hospital in 1942. Tony Ward (Arabic: طوني ورد, born March 27, 1970, in Beirut, Lebanon) is a Lebanese-Italian fashion designer. Named “The Architect of Detail”, he draws his inspiration from contemporary architecture. Early life Tony Ward, son of Elie Ward, a couturier based in Beirut, was interested in fashion at a young age. Early life Tony Ward was born in Santa Cruz, California on June 10, 1963 to Robert Borden Ward, from Kansas and Karen Elizabeth Castro of California. Tony Ward (born 5 December 1941 in Highgate, London) is a former football referee and assistant referee. During his career he officiated in the English Football League and Premier League, as well as in FIFA-sanctioned matches. He resided in New Southgate, London. Career Ward started his career in 1962, serving the South East Counties, Spartan, Athenian and Isthmian leagues, before becoming a Football League linesman in 1974. His first match was a Second Division game between Portsmouth and Nottingham Forest. In 1980, he was promoted to the Referees List of the Football League; his first match was between Lincoln City and Wigan Athletic. Ward reached the normal retirement age of 48 in 1990, but he was retained for a further three seasons along with other high-performing referees.
