Tony Veitch
Tony Colin Veitch (born 1973) is a New Zealand former reporter and sports broadcaster. He hosted a Radio Sport breakfast show and Television New Zealand's ONE News 6pm sports news. Veitch resigned from all broadcasting roles in the wake of domestic violence revelations in 2008 and a conviction in 2009, but later regained significant roles at Newstalk ZB and Radio Sport, until late 2017. Broadcasting Prior to 7 July 2008, Veitch was a highly visible New Zealand sports broadcaster who hosted a Radio Sport breakfast show and the ONE News 6pm sports news until July 2008. He was also involved with other TVNZ programmes such as ''A Game of Two Halves'' and ''Veitch's View''. The Nine Network (stylised 9Network, commonly known as Channel Nine or simply Nine) is an Australian commercial free-to-air television network. Vodafone New Zealand Limited is a New Zealand telecommunications company. Nigel Owens
Nigel Owens, (born 18 June 1971) is a Welsh former international rugby union referee, who retired in December 2020 after a 17-year career. He currently holds the world record for the most test matches refereed and is one of five international referees listed as professional within the Welsh Rugby Union, alongside Craig Evans, Adam Jones, Dan Jones, and Ben Whitehouse. Puketutu Island
Puketutu Island, also known as Te Motu a Hiaroa, is a volcanic island in the Manukau Harbour, New Zealand, and is part of the Auckland volcanic field. European settlers called it Weekes' Island, but this was eventually abandoned in favour of the historical Māori name. However this can confuse as there are multiple hills called Puketutu in the North Island of New Zealand. The island is joined to the mainland via a causeway known as Te Ara Tāhuna. Te Motu a Hiaroa means "the island of Hiaroa" in reference to an ancestor who arrived on the island after journeying on the Tainui waka. Murray Deaker
Murray James Boyd Deaker is a New Zealand sports radio and television talk show host and sports author. Deaker was educated at Dunedin's King's High School, the same school in which fellow broadcaster Peter Montgomery attended. He graduated from the University of Otago with an MA in history. He worked as a teacher prior to his media career, including at Auckland Grammar (where he successfully coached the First Cricket XI), Orewa College and Takapuna Grammar School. As a former rugby player he had represented Otago and played for the New Zealand Teachers Team. Deaker was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2003. Susan Devoy
Dame Susan Elizabeth Anne Devoy (born 4 January 1964) is a former New Zealand squash player and senior public servant. As a squash player, she was dominant in the late 1980s and early 1990s, winning the World Open on four occasions. She served as New Zealand's Race Relations Commissioner from 2013 to 2018. Early life and family Devoy was born in Rotorua, the youngest of seven children and her parents' only daughter. Her family, including her six brothers, also played squash and Devoy started playing when she was very young.
