Tony Moore (artist)
Tony Moore is an American comic-book artist whose work consists mainly of genre pieces, most notably in horror and science fiction, with titles such as ''Fear Agent'', '' The Exterminators'', and the first six issues of '' The Walking Dead''. He also co-created the Invincible Universe character Brit. Career Moore's first comic-book work was the 2000 superhero parody ''Battle Pope'', which he co-created with his childhood friend, writer Robert Kirkman. Self-published under the Funk-O-Tron label, it was adapted into a season of eight animated webisodes that appeared on Spike TV's website in 2008. While working on Battle Pope, Kirkman and Moore were asked to produce work for the Mattel-licensed Masters of the Universe property. The New York Comic Con is an annual New York City fan convention dedicated to Western comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, cosplay, toys, movies, and television. It was first held in 2006. Brit (Image Comics)
Brit is a fictional superhero in the Image Universe. He first appeared in ''Brit'' (July 2003), and was created by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore. Publication history Brit starred in three one-shots: ''Brit'' (July 2003), ''Brit: Cold Death'' (December 2003), ''Brit: Red, White, Black and Blue'' (August 2004). Robert Kirkman wrote the three one-shots with Tony Moore illustrating the first and second issue and with Cliff Rathburn on the third. The one-shots have been collected in a trade paperback and was released in March 2007. In August 2007, Brit was launched as an ongoing, full-color series written by Bruce Brown and features Rathburn's debut as an ongoing series artist. The series was overseen and edited by Kirkman. ''iFanboy'' is a weekly audio podcast which focuses on comic books, comic book publishing, and comic book creators. It stars Josh Flanagan, Ron Richards, and Conor Kilpatrick. The first episode of the audio podcast was released on November 2, 2005, and the first episode of the video podcast on January 17, 2007. They were bought by the Boulder-based Graphic.ly in 2010 to add the ready-built community of iFanboy to their digital comics platform. In early 2013, iFanboy amicably split from Graphic.ly and once again became an independently run website by the iFanboys. ''Punisher'', retitled ''Franken-Castle'' from issue #17 on, is a Marvel Comics comic book series featuring the character Frank Castle, also known as the Punisher. Spinning out of the second ''Punisher War Journal'' series by writer Matt Fraction, this series of ''Punisher'' places the character firmly in the ongoing Marvel Universe inhabited by superheroes such as the Avengers and Spider-Man, and super-villains such as Doctor Doom and the Masters of Evil. Jason Aaron (born January 28, 1973) is an American comic book writer, known for his creator-owned series '' Scalped'' and '' Southern Bastards'', as well as his work on Marvel series ''Ghost Rider'', ''Wolverine'', ''PunisherMAX'', ''Thor'', and '' The Avengers''. Early life Jason Aaron was born in Jasper, Alabama. His cousin, Gustav Hasford, who wrote the semi-autobiographical novel ''The Short-Timers'' (1979), on which the feature film '' Full Metal Jacket'' (1987) was based, was a large influence on Aaron. Aaron decided he wanted to write comics as a child, and though his father was skeptical when Aaron informed him of this aspiration, his mother took Aaron to drug stores, where he would purchase comic books from spinner racks, some of which he still owned as of 2012. Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider is the name of multiple antiheroes and superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Marvel had previously used the name for a Western character whose name was later changed to Phantom Rider. The first supernatural Ghost Rider is stunt motorcyclist Johnny Blaze, who, to save the life of his father, agrees to give his soul to "Satan" (later revealed to be an arch-demon named Mephisto). At night and when around evil, Blaze finds his flesh consumed by hellfire, causing his head to become a flaming skull. The Amory Wars
''The Amory Wars'' is an ongoing series of science fiction comic books and novels created by Coheed and Cambria frontman Claudio Sanchez and published by Evil Ink Comics. The name also refers to the fictional conflict at the center of the story, which is told across the published works and is also the primary focus of most of the band’s music. Each of Coheed and Cambria’s studio albums (with the exception of 2015’s ''The Color Before the Sun'') tells a chapter in the saga originally narrated by Sanchez’s lyrics.
