Tony Modra
Anthony Dale Modra (born 1 March 1969) is a former Australian rules footballer who represented Adelaide and Fremantle in the Australian Football League (AFL) and West Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Known for his spectacular marking ability in the full forward position, Modra had the physical strength and size to match the best opposition full backs in the competition. McLaren Vale, South Australia
McLaren Vale is a town and locality in the Australian state of South Australia located about south of the Adelaide city centre and about south of the municipal seat at Noarlunga Centre. History The township was formed in 1923 from a merging of the two original villages of Gloucester and Bellevue, which were established in the 1840s. Boundaries for the locality were defined on 13 July 1995 for the portion within the former City of Noarlunga with the portion in the former District Council of Willunga being added on 28 January 1999. Land within the former locality of Landcross Farm was added on 16 March 2000. The source of the name has been attributed by several writers to either David McLaren of the South Australian Company or John McLaren of the colonial government's Land Office. Fremantle Football Club
The Fremantle Football Club, nicknamed the Dockers, is a professional Australian rules football club competing in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's elite competition. The Adelaide Crows (officially the Adelaide Football Club) are a professional Australian rules football team based in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1990. Darren Holmes (born 3 September 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the Sydney Swans and Fitzroy in the Australian Football League (AFL) during the 1990s. A utility, Holmes had his most productive year in 1992 when he made 19 appearances and after two more seasons was traded to Fitzroy. He was a member of the last Fitzroy squad, playing seven games in the 1996 AFL season. The Sunraysia Football and Netball League, also known simply as the SFNL is an Australian rules league in the Sunraysia district of north-west Victoria and south-west New South Wales. The Riverland Football League is an Australian rules football league located in South Australia's Riverland region. The league has two divisions - the first division is for the main towns of the Riverland and the second division, called the Riverland Independent Football League, is for the minor towns. Renmark Rovers Football Club
The Renmark Rovers Football Club is an Australian rules football club located in Renmark, South Australia. The club formed in 1923 as a result of a merger between the Fairview Rovers and the Renmark Town FC. They compete in the Riverland Football League (RFL) where they have won 21 premierships, the most recent in 2021. The club, formed in 1909, celebrated their centennial in June 2009. Loxton Football Club
The Loxton Football Club is an Australian rules football club which compete in the Riverland Football League. History The club was formed in 1908 and played their first game against Lyrup. Throughout the 1920s the club maintained a presence in the local Loxton District Football Association. In 1930 it was decided to field two teams in the local district competition, the ''Imperials'' and the ''Olympicians''. It remained that way until the advent of WWII Reforming after the war the club joined the Upper Murray Football Association and was an immediate success winning the first four premiers it competed in. Loxton, South Australia
Loxton is a town on the south bank of the River Murray in the Riverland region of South Australia. It is located on the lands of the Erawirung people who occupied the area before European colonisation. At the 2016 census, Loxton had a population of 4,568. It is a service town for the surrounding districts. Loxton's primary productions are agriculture & horticulture. Citrus fruit, wine grapes, almond and stone fruit trees are prevalent. Nigel Smart
Nigel James Smart (born 21 May 1969) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Smart played most of his career in defence and became a crowd favourite, easily identifiable with his bald head and goatee. Career Smart made his senior debut in 1988 in the SANFL with South Adelaide Football Club while studying geography and politics at Flinders University. He was also a member of the Adelaide Crows squad for their inaugural season in 1991. Smart was named at full-back for Adelaide's Round One match against , going up against superstar full-forward Jason Dunstall.
