Tony McRae (American Football)
Tony McRae (born May 3, 1993) is an American football cornerback who is a free agent. He played college football at North Carolina A&T, and signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2016. Early life McRae attended Scotland High School, in Laurinburg, North Carolina where he played varsity football and basketball. During his senior year, McRae helped lead the Fighting Scotts to a 14-0 undefeated season and the 2011 NCHSAA 4A State football championship. McRae's performance earned a place on the 2011 All-Cape Fear Regional Team as he was the leading rusher among NC state champion teams with 1,835 yards and 32 touchdowns. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties. The cornerback position requires speed, agility, strength, and the ability to make rapid sharp turns. MEAC/SWAC Challenge
The MEAC/SWAC Challenge is an annual historically black college (HBCU) football game showcasing a team from each of the two NCAA Division I conferences made up entirely of HBCUs—the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). The series began in 2005 and initially paired the defending conference champions, although the selection process was broadened in 2007 to include non-champions as well. Following the 2022 game, the MEAC leads the series with 10 wins to the SWAC's five (along with a "no contest" game in 2016, and a cancellation in 2020). The Challenge is televised nationally on ESPN and is owned by ESPN Events. Free Safety
Safety is a position in gridiron football on the defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. The defensive responsibilities of the safety and cornerback usually involve pass coverage towards the middle and sidelines of the field. While American (11-player) formations generally use two safeties, Canadian (12-player) formations generally have one safety and two defensive halfbacks, a position not used in the American game. Ayodeji Olatoye (born July 20, 1991) is a former American football cornerback. He played college football at North Carolina A&T. He was originally signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2014. Early years Olatoye attended Dublin Scioto High School in Dublin, Ohio. While there he was a three-year letterman. He also earned All-Central District Division II honors. As a senior, he played in seven games and recorded 49 tackles and one interception which was returned for a touchdown. In addition to football, Olatoye lettered in basketball three times and was the team's starting power forward as a senior. He also lettered in soccer and track and field. Rod Broadway
Roderick Craig Broadway (born April 9, 1955) is a former American football coach. He served as the head football coach at North Carolina Central University from 2003 to 2006, Grambling State University from 2007 to 2010, and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University from 2011 to 2017, compiling a career college football coaching record of 125–45. He is the only coach to win a black college football national championship at three different schools.
