Tony Lynn
Tony Lynn (born 29 April 1968) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the Brisbane Bears and Carlton in the Victorian/Australian Football League (VFL/AFL). A Queenslander, Lynn played both junior and senior football at Morningside until being recruited to Brisbane for their second VFL season in 1988. He kicked four goals in a win over Richmond could only manage six games for Brisbane before succumbing to a knee injury. Lynn, a utility, returned to Morningside in 1989 and then joined Central District in the South Australian National Football League with whom he would make over 80 appearances and win a 'Best and Fairest' in 1992. In 1993 he won a Fos Williams Medal for his performance for South Australia in an interstate match against Western Australia. He also represented a combined Northern Territory and Queensland interstate team the same year, in a win over Tasmania in Hobart. Morningside Australian Football Club
The Morningside Australian Football Club, also known as the Morningside Panthers, is an Australian rules football club based at Jack Esplen Oval in the suburb of Hawthorne in Brisbane. The club consists of Masters, Amateurs, Women's, Junior and Senior football sections. Its senior team competed in the North East Australian Football League (NEAFL) competition from 2011 to 2013 and now is a member club of the Queensland Australian Football League. Its junior sides compete in the AFL Brisbane Juniors (AFLBJ) competition. The club also caters for young girls and boys by running Auskick skills clinics, which are held at the beginning of the season and do not involve competitive games. These positions describe both the player's main role and by implication their location on the ground. As the game has evolved, tactics and team formations have changed, and the names of the positions and the duties involved have evolved too. The Brisbane Football Club, nicknamed the Bears, was a professional Australian rules football club based in Queensland on the Gold Coast (relocated to Brisbane in 1993). The club participated in the Victorian/Australian Football League (VFL/AFL) between 1987 and 1996, and entered the league as the first of two non-Victorian expansion teams. It was the first privately owned club in the league's history.
