Tony Kart
Tony Kart is an Italian company (a brand of OTK Kart Group), that produces racing kart chassis. It was founded in 1958 by Antonio "Tony" Bosio. It is based in Prevalle near Brescia in northern Italy. Tony Kart chassis have been used to win several races and championships both nationally and internationally. Its drivers have included Formula One stars such as Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel and Jarno Trulli. Tony Kart's product lines include the Kosmic Kart chassis as well as Exprit, RedSpeed, Trulli (few years ago). Vortex Engines company is part of the OTK Kart Group line products. JM Racing of Carson, California introduced the brand in the USA with drivers Alex Barron, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Danica Patrick, Keith Williamson, Scott Speed and Phil Giebler. Alex Barron (driver)
Alex Barron (born June 11, 1970) is an American former race car driver. He began racing Champ Car, CART FedEx World Series Championship cars in 1998 and made his first Indy Racing League Northern Lights Series (now IndyCar Series) start in 2001. The 1997 KOOL Toyota Atlantic Champion, moved across to the Indy Racing League, IRL, where he had trouble finding a regular drive and got his opportunities through injuries to other drivers. However, in 2006, he stepped down a level to race in the Champ Car Atlantic Championship, and then returned to IRL in 2007. The Karting World Championship is a kart racing competition organised by the CIK-FIA. It is held annually since 1964, and is karting's flagship event. The FIA (International Automobile Federation) created the CIK (International Karting Commission) in 1962. The Current President of the Championship is former Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa. Phil Giebler
Philip Giebler (born March 5, 1979 in Oxnard, California) is an American race car driver. Giebler was considered a top American prospect with an opportunity to race in Formula One early in his career. Following years in various Formula Three ranks, Giebler ran in Formula 3000 in 2003 half the season putting up a number of good results. He returned stateside in 2004 running in the Infiniti Pro Series and Toyota Atlantic, capturing a win in his IPS debut at Homestead-Miami Speedway, before being named as one of A1 Grand Prix A1 Team USA's drivers. Scott Andrew Speed (born January 24, 1983) is an American race car driver who has competed in numerous disciplines, including open-wheel, stock car, and rallycross racing.
