Tony Corbin
Anton Christian Corbin (born March 21, 1974) is an American teacher and former professional football quarterback who played one season with the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the seventh round of the 1997 NFL Draft. Corbin played college football at California State University, Sacramento and attended Turlock High School in Turlock, California. He was also a member of the Frankfurt Galaxy, Portland Forest Dragons, New York CityHawks and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Turlock, California
Turlock is a city in Stanislaus County, California, United States. Its estimated 2019 population of 73,631 made it the second-largest city in Stanislaus County after Modesto. History Founded on December 22, 1871, by prominent grain farmer John William Mitchell, the town consisted of a post office, a depot, a grain warehouse and a few other buildings. Mitchell declined the honor of having the town named for himself. The name "Turlock" was then chosen instead. The name is believed to originate from the Irish village Turlough. In October 1870, ''Harper's Weekly'' published an excerpt from English novelist James Payn's story ''Bred in the Bone'', which includes the mention of a town named "Turlough" (translated from Irish as "Turlock"). Mission Bay High School
Mission Bay High School (MBHS), is a public high school located in the San Diego, California community of Pacific Beach. It is a magnet school with emphasis on Academic Studies. In Fall 2006, Mission Bay introduced International Baccalaureate courses that students could take to help them get their I.B. diploma. The Mission Bay High jazz program is home to the Award-winning and touring Mission Bay Preservationists, as well as the Mission Bay Mambo Orchestra, the only youth-Latin big band in California. The music program also includes a concert band, string orchestra, full-size symphonic orchestra, swing and concert choirs, and the aforementioned 2 jazz-bands. The 2001 CFL season is considered to be the 48th season in modern-day Canadian football, although it is officially the 44th Canadian Football League season.
