Tony Bridges
D. Antonio Bridges II (born January 21, 1977) is an American politician who has served as the Assistant Secretary for the Maryland Department of Transportation since 2023. He was previously a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 41 in west Baltimore City from 2019 to 2023. Early life and career Bridges was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 21, 1977. He attended the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and Frostburg State University, where he earned a B.A. degree in mass communications in 2000, and Towson University, where he received a certificate in communications and strategic public relations in 2002. After graduating from Towson, Bridges worked at the Mayor's Office of Neighborhoods and Constituent Services in Baltimore City, for which he eventually became the Executive Director in 2007. Maryland House of Delegates District 41 is one of 47 legislative districts in the state of Maryland and one of the 5 located entirely within Baltimore City. Voters in this district select three Delegates every four years to represent them in the Maryland House of Delegates. The Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland, Inc. (also known as The Maryland Legislative Black Caucus) is an American political organization composed of African Americans elected to the Maryland General Assembly. Incorporated in 1970, the Caucus membership has grown from 17 to 58 and is one of the largest state legislative black caucuses in the country. Founding The Caucus was incorporated in 1970 by Lena King Lee, then a member of the Maryland House of Delegates. Bilal Abdul Malik Ali is an American politician who served as a delegate to the Maryland General Assembly representing Maryland's District 41. Political career Ali was appointed to the Maryland House of Delegates, filling the vacancy created when Jill P. Carter resigned. He was defeated for election in the 2018 Democratic primary. Delegate Attar represents the 41st Legislative District of the state of Maryland, which is located in northwest Baltimore City.
