Tonkam
Tonkam is a prominent French publisher of manga and was one of the first publishers of manga in French, issuing its first titles in 1994. It was founded by Sylvie Chang and Dominique Véret with the financial assistance of a Parisian bookseller, Yu-Chi Chang. The company had some legal problems when it published New Angel; because of its hentai content was forced to retire the product from the market. In 1996, Tonkam entered into a venture with the Belgian publisher Ypnos to publish Korean manhwa, but the experience was short-lived as Ypnos closed soon after. Dominique Véret, left his post of publishing director in the early years 2000 to found the publishing company Akata, in partnership with Delcourt. At the end of 2005, after the death of Yu-Chi Chang, Mmes Françoise and Sylvie Chang, owners of the company, signed a contract with Delcourt which became the major actionist of the company, but the two companies kept different editorial strategies and identities. Cross Game
is a Japanese baseball-themed manga series written and illustrated by Mitsuru Adachi. It was serialized in Shogakukan ''shōnen'' manga magazine ''Weekly Shōnen Sunday'' from April 2005 to February 2010, with its chapters collected in 17 ''tankōbon'' volumes. The series was adapted as a 50-episode anime television series that aired on the TV Tokyo network from April 2009 to March 2010. ''Cross Game'' is the story of Ko Kitamura and the four neighboring Tsukishima sisters, Ichiyo, Wakaba, Aoba, and Momiji. Wakaba and Ko were born on the same day in the same hospital and are close enough that Wakaba treats Ko as her boyfriend, though nothing is officially declared, while Aoba, one year younger than them, hates how Ko is "taking" her sister away from her. Appare Jipangu!
is a manga by Yuu Watase. Set in Japan during the Edo period, it follows the life of Yusura, who as a baby, was found under a cherry tree with the "Kongoumaru" (a staff that turns blue when people are sad) by her side. Now fifteen years later, Yusura has become the "hikeshiya" (or "extinguisher of sorrow") and uses the Kongoumaru to 'absorb' people's sadness and hit it back at the people that caused it. is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kaori Yuki. It was serialized in the Shōjo manga, ''shōjo'' manga magazine ''Hana to Yume'' from July 1994 to October 2000. Buddha (manga)
is a manga drawn by Osamu Tezuka and is Tezuka's unique interpretation of the life of Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. It was serialized in Shueisha's ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'' from March to August 1997, with its chapters collected in three ''tankōbon'' volumes. "Buddha Zone" is the concept by which a Buddha can appear on Earth using a Buddha statue.
