Toni Røseler Andersen
Toni Dorthe Røseler Andersen (born 29 July 1940 in Silkeborg, Denmark) is a Danish former handball player. She was part of the Danish team that won silver medals at the 1962 World Women's Handball Championship in Romania. Røseler debuted for the national team in 1958 and would go on to play 60 matches, scoring 68 goals. Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball, Olympic handball or indoor handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the opposing team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The goals are surrounded by a zone where only the defending goalkeeper is allowed; goals must be scored by throwing the ball from outside the zone or while "diving" into it. The sport is usually played indoors, but outdoor variants exist in the forms of field handball, Czech handball (which were more common in the past) and beach handball. DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company. 1962–63 Women's European Cup (handball)
The 1962–63 Women's Handball European Champions Cup was the third edition of the premier international competition for European women's handball clubs, taking place from November 1962 to April 1963. Fourteen teams took part in the competition, with Denmark, East Germany, Hungary, Netherlands and Sweden making its first appearance, so a first round was introduced. 1962 champion and runner-up Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia were granted byes for the quarter-finals. For the first time the final was carried out as a single match, taking place in Prague on April 14. Trud Moscow, representing the Soviet Union as the first champion of the newly founded Soviet Championship, became the first of three Soviet teams to win the competition by beating Ruch Chorzów, defending champion Spartak Prague Sokolovo and finally Frederiksberg IF, which was the first team from Western Europe to reach the final. Frederiksberg Idræts-Forening, often just called Frederiksberg IF or FIF is a Danish sports club based in Frederiksberg. The club has teams in many different sports, but is most famous for its handball team. The men's team is currently playing in the second tier, Danish 1st Division. The official fan group is called FIF Ultras. History The club was founded on 24 February 1913, while the handball department was founded in 1935. Gert Andersen (born June 18, 1939 in Copenhagen) is a former Danish handball player, playing on the Danish national team. He played on the national team at the world championships in both 1964 and 1970. He played more than 530 matches for the club HG from 1957 to 1970 winning six Danish championships. While still playing he trained the FIF women making them Danish Champions twice. He also won a championship with the men from Helsingør as a coach in 1987-88. He was educated as an Engineer.
