Dale Tonge
Dale Tonge (born 7 May 1985) is an English former professional footballer who played as a full back or a midfielder. He is currently a first team coach at EFL Championship club Peterborough United Career He came through the youth ranks with Barnsley and made his debut on 17 April 2004 against Brentford. On 20 March 2007, it was announced that he had joined Gillingham on loan. He made his Gillingham debut in the 5–0 away defeat to Carlisle United on 24 March, and returned to Barnsley one month later. On 25 May 2007, he signed a two-year deal with Rotherham United. On 25 October 2008, he scored his first career goal in a 2–1 win versus Macclesfield Town. On 2 May 2009, Tonge was shown his first ever red card for professional foul in a 1–0 defeat to Exeter on the final day of the season, making almost 50 appearances in the 2008–09 season. Gavin Tonge
Gavin Courtney Tonge (born 13 January 1983) is a West Indian cricketer. He is a right-arm fast-medium bowler and has represented the West Indies cricket team in One Day International and Test cricket, as well as playing first-class cricket for Antigua and Leeward Islands. Career Tonge began his first-class career in the 2002/03 season, having played in under-19 matches since 2000. He played his first game for Leeward Islands on 28 February 2003. He returned single-figure wicket tallies for his first five seasons, without a five-wicket-haul, however in the 2008–09 season he took 44 wickets at 25.09, including four five-wicket-hauls. His efforts led to a place in the West Indies ODI team. Tonge was also selected to represent the West Indies at the 2009 ICC Champions Trophy and featured in their opening defeat at the hands of Pakistan on 23 September 2009, earning his best ever bowling figures in limited overs cricket of 4/25. Israel Tonge
Israel Tonge (11 November 1621 – 1680), aka Ezerel or Ezreel Tongue, was an English divine. He was an informer in and probably one of the inventors of the "Popish" plot. Career Tonge was born at Tickhill, near Doncaster, the son of Henry Tongue, minister of Holtby, Yorkshire. He graduated from University College, Oxford and became a schoolmaster at Churchill, Oxfordshire where he became interested in gardening, alchemy, and chemistry. In 1656 he became a doctor of theology, and taught grammar at the Cromwellian Durham College until its closure in 1659. Jenny Tonge
Jennifer Louise Tonge, Baroness Tonge (''née'' Smith; born 19 February 1941) is a politician in the United Kingdom. She was Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament (MP) for Richmond Park in London from 1997 to 2005. In June 2005 she was made a life peer as Baroness Tonge, of Kew in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, which entitled her to a seat in the House of Lords. Critical of Israel and vocal in support of the Palestinian cause, controversial acts and comments led to accusations of anti-Semitism and to her eventual suspension from the Liberal Democrats group in the Lords in 2012, then her suspension and resignation from the party itself in October 2016. Michael William Eric Tonge (born 7 April 1983) is an English association football, football coach and former player. A midfielder, he scored 39 goals in 544 league and cup appearances in a 19-year career in the English Football League.
