Ton Samrong Railway Station
Ton Samrong railway station is a railway station located in Thammasala Subdistrict, Nakhon Pathom City, Nakhon Pathom. It is a class 3 railway station located from Thon Buri railway station. Originally, the station was built 300 metres from the present-day location, near a curve. But it was moved possibly because it was difficult to expand the railway station into a railyard, and there was not enough space near a curve for building the double-track section. The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) ( th, การรถไฟแห่งประเทศไทย, abbrev. รฟท., ) is the state-owned rail operator under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transport in Thailand. Mueang Nakhon Pathom ( th, เมืองนครปฐม, ) is the capital district ('' Amphoe Mueang'') of Nakhon Pathom province, central Thailand. History The district was created in 1895 named Phra Pathom Chedi District, under control of ''Mueang'' Nakhon Chai Si, Monthon Nakhon Chai Si. In 1898 the government moved the capital city of the monthon and the province from Nakhon Chai Si to Phra Pathom Chedi District. Thon Buri Railway Station
Thon Buri railway station ( th, สถานีรถไฟธนบุรี) formerly known as Bangkok Noi railway station (สถานีรถไฟบางกอกน้อย), is a railway station in Siriraj Sub-district, Bangkok Noi District, Bangkok. It is a class 1 railway station and is the current terminus of the Thon Buri Branch Line. Near the station is a railway depot that keeps five functional steam locomotives operable for four special occasions. Thon Buri station is the only station in Bangkok that has railway semaphore signals (although unused) still present on the station grounds. SRT Light Red Line
The SRT Light Red Line, or Nakhon Withi Line ( th, รถไฟชานเมือง นครวิถี) is part of the SRT Red Lines suburban railway system serving the greater Bangkok Metropolitan Region running for 15 km between Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal and Taling Chan. The completed line will run east–west from Sala Ya in Phutthamonthon District of Nakhon Pathom Province to Hua Mak Railway Station in Bangkok. The segment from Taling Chan to Bang Son previously opened for limited, free trial service between 5 December 2012 and 13 January 2014 with only 12 services a day until all services were fully suspended due to the lack of rolling stock.
