Tomás Telis
Tomás Telis (born June 18, 1991) is a Venezuelan professional baseball catcher for the Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos of the Mexican League. He previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Texas Rangers and Miami Marlins. Career Texas Rangers Telis signed with the Texas Rangers as an international free agent on July 2, 2007 as a shortstop and was moved to catcher. He made his professional debut in 2008 with the DSL Rangers. He split the 2009 season between the rookie ball AZL Rangers and the Low-A Spokane Indians, batting .330/.340/.498 between the two clubs. In 2010, Telis spent the year with the AZL Rangers, hitting .326/.351/.431 in 37 games. In 2011, Telis played for the Single-A Hickory Crawdads, slashing .297/.329/.430 with career-highs in home runs (11) and RBI (69). In 2012, Telis played in High-A with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, posting a .247/.283/.331 batting line in 117 games. The New Orleans Baby Cakes (formerly the New Orleans Zephyrs) were a Minor League Baseball team in the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. They were located in Metairie, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans, and played their home games at the Shrine on Airline. The team began play in 1993 as a member of the Triple-A American Association (20th century), American Association (AA) when the Denver Zephyrs relocated to New Orleans. They joined the PCL in 1998. Samuel Isaac Dyson (born May 7, 1988) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Toros de Tijuana of the Mexican League. Cody Paul Ege (born May 8, 1991) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Miami Marlins and Los Angeles Angels. Early life Ege played high school baseball and basketball at Washington High School in Cherokee, Iowa during a period when Washington qualified for the state tournament every year since 2005. Brandon Eugene Maurer (born July 3, 1990) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres and Kansas City Royals. From Costa Mesa, California, Maurer pitched in Little League Baseball and high school at Orange Lutheran High School. The Mariners selected Maurer in the 23rd round of the 2008 MLB Draft.
