Tommy Leahy (Tipperary Hurler)
Thomas Leahy (16 November 1905 – 17 October 1981) was an Irish hurler. At club level he played for Boherlahan and was the left wing-forward on the Tipperary senior hurling team that won the 1930 All-Ireland Championship. A native of Tubberadora, County Tipperary, Leahy played his club hurling with Boherlahan and won four Tipperary Senior Championship medals between 1924 and 1928. Leahy made his first appearance for the Tipperary senior hurling team during the 1927 Munster Championship. In the following years he had several successes, including a Munster Championship medal, and an All-Ireland Championship medal. The latter coming when Tipperary defeated Dublin in the final in 1930. Leahy's brothers, Paddy, Mick and Johnny, were also All-Ireland medal winners. Boherlahan–Dualla GAA
Boherlahan–Dualla GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club associated with the villages of Boherlahan and Dualla in County Tipperary, Ireland. The parish of Boherlahan–Dualla is a large parish in Tipperary, and Boherlahan-Dualla GAA club competes in the Mid-Tipperary Division. The Boherlahan–Dualla parish borders seven parishes from three separate divisions, Holycross–Ballycahill GAA and Moycarkey–Borris GAA to the north who play in the Mid-Tipperary division, to the west it borders Knockavilla–Donaskeigh Kickhams GAA, Clonoulty–Rossmore GAA, Golden–Kilfeacle GAA and Cashel King Cormacs GAA, all of whom play in the West Tipperary division, and to the east, Killenaule GAA who play in the South Tipperary division. 1931 Railway Cup Hurling Championship
The 1931 Railway Cup Hurling Championship was the fifth series of the inter-provincial hurling Railway Cup. Two matches were played between 8 February and 17 March 1931. It was contested by Connacht, who returned after a three-year absence, Leinster and Munster. Munster entered the championship as the defending champions. On 17 March 1931, Munster won the Railway Cup after a 1–12 to 2–06 defeat of Leinster in the final at Croke Park, Dublin. This was their fourth title over all and their fourth title in succession. The GAA Interprovincial Championship ( ga, An Corn Idir-Chúigeach) or Railway Cup (''Corn an Iarnróid'') is the name of two annual Gaelic football and hurling competitions held between the provinces of Ireland. The Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster GAA teams are composed of the best players from the counties in each province. The games are organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association. The Railway Cup was a revival of the Railway Shield which ran from 1905 to 1907 (football) and from 1905 to 1908 (hurling). The first Railway Cup competitions (the name is due to the donation of the trophy by Irish Rail) were held in 1927, with Munster winning the first football title and Leinster winning the first hurling title. Johnny Leahy
John Leahy (27 December 1891 – 19 November 1949) was an Irish hurling, hurler who played as a midfielder for the Tipperary GAA, Tipperary senior team. After joining the team for a tournament game in 1909, Leahy made his proper debut during the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship 1914, 1914 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship 1928, 1928 championship. During that time he won two All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, All-Ireland medals, five Munster Senior Hurling Championship, Munster Championship medals and one National Hurling League, National League medal. Mick Leahy (hurler)
Michael Leahy (1 March 1895 – 13 April 1950) was an Irish hurler who played as a left corner-forward for the Tipperary and Cork senior teams from 1916 until 1931. Leahy joined the Tipperary team as a substitute during the 1916 championship and lined out at irregular intervals over the course of the following decade. In 1927 Leahy joined the Cork senior hurling team, remaining with 'the Rebels' until 1931. Throughout his long career he won one All-Ireland winner's medal and two Munster winner's medals. Paddy Leahy
Patrick Leahy (17 March 1892 – 15 May 1966) was an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder for the Tipperary senior team. Leahy made his first appearance for the team during the 1916 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1927 championship. During that time he won two All-Ireland medals, four Munster medals and one National Hurling League medal. At club level Leahy was a multiple county club championship medalist with Boherlahan–Dualla. The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition in Ireland, and has been contested every year except one since 1887.
