Tommy Kennedy

	Tommy Kennedy Tommy Kennedy was an Australian professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1920s. He played for Balmain as a winger. Playing career Kennedy made his debut for Balmain against St. George in 1923, scoring a try in the 23–3 victory. The following year, Kennedy played on the wing in Balmain's 3-0 grand final victory over South Sydney. Kennedy finished the season with 10 tries in 8 games. He played a further two seasons before retiring at the end of 1926. picture info	Balmain Tigers The Balmain Tigers (also known as the Sydney Tigers from 1995–96) are a rugby league club based in the inner-western Sydney suburb of Balmain. They were a founding member of the New South Wales Rugby League and one of the most successful in the history of the premiership, with eleven titles. In 1999 they formed a joint venture club with the Western Suburbs Magpies club to form the Wests Tigers for competition in the National Rugby League (NRL). They no longer field any senior teams in the lower divisions. At the time of the joint venture only South Sydney Rabbitohs and the St George Dragons had won more titles than the Tigers. It refers to positions on the extreme left (factually the better side) and right sides of the pitch, or playing field (the "wings"). A try is scored by grounding the ball in the opposition's in-goal area (on or behind the goal line). Rugby union and league differ slightly in defining "grounding the ball" and the "in-goal" area.
