Tommy Gallagher (born 10 September 1983) is former a rugby league footballer who played as a but also appeared as a or . Gallagher was born in Dewsbury, and grew up in Birstall. Gallagher is a product of the Leeds academy, but has had spells with the Hull Kingston Rovers, the Keighley Cougars, the London Broncos, the Widnes (two spells), the Batley Bulldogs (two spells), the Rochdale Hornets and the Swinton Lions before joining the Leigh Centurions The Leigh Leopards are a professional rugby league club based in Leigh, Greater Manchester, England, who compete in the Betfred Super League. The Keighley Cougars are a professional rugby league club from Keighley in West Yorkshire, England who compete in League 1, the third tier of English rugby league. Keighley's home ground, Cougar Park has a capacity of 7,800. History Early years The club was formed at a meeting held on 17 October 1876 under the presidency of the Reverend Marriner. A committee was elected and the club was allowed the use of Holmes' field in Lawkholme Lane. The first kick-off took place on Saturday afternoon, 21 October and the committee met again on 24 October and decided to adopt Association and Rugby football laws. On 18 November 1876, the first game took place at Lawkholme Lane.
