Tommie Young (born January 14, 1949) is an American soul and gospel singer from Dallas, Texas, United States. Young started singing in Dallas nightclubs, and in 1972, producer Bobby Patterson heard one of her performances and signed her to the label he co-owned, Soul Power Records. For her debut single, Patterson recorded instrumental versions of the songs "That's How Strong My Love Is" ( O.V. Wright) and " Take Time to Know Her" (Percy Sledge), and then had Young travel to his studios in Shreveport, Louisiana, where she finished the recording in one take per track.Biography AllMusic The single didn't chart but since has become a cult favorite among soul music fans. Tom van der Leegte (born 27 March 1977) is a Dutch former professional footballer. He formerly played for clubs like PSV Eindhoven and VfL Wolfsburg. Career Van der Leegte made his debut as a 17-year-old for PSV. He was a member of the Dutch squad at the 1995 FIFA World Youth Championship. After two seasons for PSV he was loaned to RKC Waalwijk. Tommie Sunshine (born Thomas Lorello; March 26, 1971) is a record producer, remixer, DJ and songwriter of electronic music from Chicago currently living in Brooklyn, New York. He is known for creating dance remixes to popular rock and alternative songs. Biography Early life Lorello grew up in Naperville, Illinois. During the 1980s he became interested in DJ mixes he heard on the radio and began attending house-music clubs in the city such as Medusa's. Tommie Wayne Sisk (born April 12, 1942 in Ardmore, Oklahoma) is a former right-handed Major League Baseball pitcher who played from 1962 to 1970 for the Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres and Chicago White Sox. Originally signed as an amateur free agent by the Pirates in 1960, he quickly made his way to the big leagues. July 19, 1962 was the date of his major league debut, in which the 20-year-old did not fare too well. Although he started the game, he did not last more than two innings. Tommie Shelby (born 1967) is an American philosopher. Since 2013, he has served as the Caldwell Titcomb Professor of African and African American Studies and of Philosophy at Harvard University, where he is the current chair of the Department of African and African American Studies. Tommie D. Reynolds (born August 15, 1941) is a former Major League Baseball outfielder. He was signed by the Kansas City Athletics as an amateur free agent in 1963, and played for them from 1963 to 1965. He also played for the New York Mets (1967), Oakland Athletics (1969), California Angels (1970–1971), and Milwaukee Brewers (1972). An average defensive outfielder, Reynolds started in almost half of his team's games in both 1965 and 1969, usually in left field.
