Tomilea Allison
Tomilea "Tomi" Allison (née Radosevich) (born March 28, 1934) was the mayor of Bloomington, Indiana from 1983 to 1995 and served on the city council from 1977 to 1982. A native of Madera, California, she majored in sociology at Occidental College, where she received a bachelor's degree in 1955. From 1957 through 1959 she worked as a deputy probation officer for Fresno and San Bernardino counties. Her two daughters, Devon and Leigh, were born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where her husband, James, was a graduate student in the University of Michigan Department of Psychology. The family moved to Bloomington in 1963, when he joined the psychology faculty at Indiana University. She was the first woman to be elected, and second woman to serve as, mayor of Bloomington. She started the Downtown Canopy of Lights. and instigated the founding of the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County. Her leadership produced a new master plan for the city. Frank McCloskey
Francis Xavier McCloskey (June 12, 1939 – November 2, 2003) was an American journalist, lawyer, and politician from Indiana who served in the United States House of Representatives as a Democratic Party (United States), Democrat from 1983 to 1995. Early life and education He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and later moved to Bloomington, Indiana after receiving an undergraduate (majoring in political science) and J.D. degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. Frank O'Bannon
Frank Lewis O'Bannon (January 30, 1930 – September 13, 2003) was an American politician who served as the 47th governor of Indiana from 1997 until his death in 2003. As of October 2022, he remains the most recent United States Governor to have died in office. O'Bannon was a native of Corydon, Indiana. He graduated from Corydon High School (now Corydon Central High School) in 1948 and then Indiana University, where he met his wife Judy. In Corydon, he served as a practicing attorney and a newspaper publisher for ''The Corydon Democrat'' before his entrance into the political arena.
