Linkup
Linkup was a French boy band, created by the third season of the popular French reality show ''Popstars'', called "Popstars - the Duel" aired on RTL Group TV channel M6 (also known as Métropole 6) in fall 2003. It consisted of Matthieu, Lionel et Otis. Matthieu (which full name is Matthieu Tota) became later known as singer M. Pokora. Career The band released their debut and only album ''Notre étoile'' (meaning Our star in French). The debut single from the album, "Mon étoile" (meaning My star in French) was a success, reaching #1 in the French charts. The following single, ''Une seconde d'éternité ''(One second of eternity) and the album didn't find much success. After a collaboration with the English boy band Blue in recording the single " You & Me Bubblin", which also failed to attract enough sales, Linkup disbanded in 2004. "It's Alright" is the last single from Ricky Martin's album ''Life''. The Spanish version is called "Déjate Llevar" ("Indulge"). The single was released on March 7, 2006. The original version of "It's Alright" contains Ricky Martin vocals only. In 2006, M. Pokora recorded additional vocals in French, and this new version was released as a single in Francophone countries. It was later included on the special edition of M. Pokora's ''Player'' album. "Elle me contrôle" is a song by French singer M. Pokora written and composed by Georges Padey, Kore & Skalp, Matt Pokora, Da Team and Sweety. It was released as the second single from his first eponymous album in late spring 2005. Rapper Sweety featured the Kore & Skalp-produced song to add a dancehall groove to it. "Showbiz (The Battle)" is the debut solo single of French singer M. Pokora, also appearing in the self-titled debut solo album ''M. Pokora''. The single cover credits him as Matt Pokora. In 2005, Pokora was forced to change his chosen name from Matt Pokora to M. Pokora after a lawsuit from French R&B singer Matt Houston who used the mononym Matt. As a result, re-released the album as M. Pokora and later covers of "Showbiz (The Battle)" credit him as M. Pokora. It was released on 15 November 2004 on the ULM label, part of Universal.
