''Tomb of the Mutilated'' is the third studio album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse. It was released in 1992 through Metal Blade Records and is the last record with the band's original lineup, as founding guitarist Bob Rusay was fired after the album's release. The opening track "Hammer Smashed Face" quickly became the band's signature song. The track was featured during the band's cameo appearance in the 1994 comedy film '' Ace Ventura: Pet Detective'', as well as downloadable content for the video game ''Rock Band'' video game series. The song "I Cum Blood" is also featured in the video game '' Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned''. Cannibal Corpse is an American death metal band formed in Buffalo, New York in 1988, now based out of Tampa, Florida. The band has released fifteen studio albums, two box sets, four video albums, and two live albums. The band has had little radio or television exposure throughout its existence, although a cult following began to build with the releases of their early albums, including ''Butchered at Birth'' (1991) and ''Tomb of the Mutilated'' (1992). As of 2015, they achieved worldwide sales of two million units for combined sales of all their albums. In April 2021, Cannibal Corpse received their best 'first week' sales of all-time and first Top 10 on the ''Billboard'' Top Album Sales Chart as ''Violence Unimagined'' entered at No. 6 with 14,000 copies sold. Albert Fish
Hamilton Howard "Albert" Fish (May 19, 1870 – January 16, 1936) was an American serial killer, Rape, rapist, child molestation, child molester, and cannibalism, cannibal who committed at least three child murders from July 1924 to June 1928. He was also known as the Gray Man, the Werewolf of Wysteria, the Brooklyn Vampire, the Moon Maniac, and The Boogey Man. Fish was a suspect in at least five murders during his lifetime. He confessed to three murders that police were able to trace to a known homicide, and he confessed to stabbing at least two other people. Fish once boasted that he "had children in every state", and at one time stated his number of victims was about 100. However, it is not known whether he was referring to rapes or cannibalization, nor is it known if the statement was truthful. Scott Burns is an American computer engineer and a former music producer of death metal records from late 1980s and 1990s. He was crucial to the emergence of the Florida death metal scene. He has produced many records for many famous death metal bands, including Death, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Sepultura, Obituary, Atheist, Transmetal, Suffocation, and Cynic. He has engineered some of the top genre-defining death metal albums such as Death's ''Human'', Massacre's '' From Beyond'', Obituary's ''Slowly We Rot'', and Assück's '' Misery Index''. Paul Mazurkiewicz ( ; born September 8, 1968) is an American drummer best known as a member for death metal band Cannibal Corpse. Mazurkiewicz was originally the drummer for the band, Tirant Sin, alongside two other future Cannibal Corpse members Chris Barnes and Bob Rusay. The trio joined Alex Webster and Jack Owen in 1988, forming Cannibal Corpse. He is also currently the drummer for assorted side projects including Umbilicus and Heaven's Gate. Besides drumming, he also plays the guitar, and is the group's primary lyricist and contributes heavily to composing songs; he penned the songs "Dead Human Collection", "Frantic Disembowelment", "Monolith", "Carrion Sculpted Entity", and "Worm Infested". Alex Webster (born 1969) is an American bass player who is best known as a member of the death metal band Cannibal Corpse. He is one of two remaining members of the original lineup of the band, along with drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz. He is also the bassist for the band Blotted Science and the supergroup Conquering Dystopia. Before Cannibal Corpse was formed, he was part of Beyond Death. Jack Owen
Jack Owen (born December 6, 1967) is an American guitarist and a member of the death metal band Six Feet Under. He was one of the founding members of Cannibal Corpse. He stayed with the band from their formation in 1988 until 2004 when he left because he wanted to move on, as stated in the '' Centuries of Torment'' DVD. Later that year though, he was hired by Deicide—another influential and long-running Florida death metal band—with whom he recorded four albums. He left the band in 2016. In 2007, Owen played shows with Adrift before joining Order of Ennead at times when their guitarist, John Li, was unavailable. In 2009 Owen played guitar for a white power band Attack on their album ''Fade Away'', though he claimed it was merely session work and he was not informed of their racist beliefs beforehand. Chris Barnes (born December 29, 1967) is an American death metal vocalist. He is noted for his low guttural vocals and explicitly violent lyrics. He was the co-founder, original lead vocalist and songwriter of Cannibal Corpse from 1988 to 1995, later working as part of Six Feet Under, and has appeared on Torture Killer's second album ''Swarm!'' Barnes designed the original Cannibal Corpse logo, the Six Feet Under logo and also created the artwork for ''Warpath'', released in 1997.
