Tomas Peribonio
Tomás Alberto Peribonio Ávila (born 16 January 1996) is an Ecuadorian swimmer. He made his international debut at the 2015 Pan American Games, where he was a finalist. He has competed at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships (Kazan, Kazan, Russia), the 2016 FINA World Swimming Championships (25 m), 2016 FINA World Swimming Championships (Windsor, Ontario, Canada) the 2017 World Aquatics Championships, 2017 World Aquatics Championships (Budapest, Hungary), the 2018 FINA World Swimming Championships (25 m), 2018 FINA World Swimming Championships (Hangzhou, China) and the 2019 World Aquatics Championships, 2019 World Aquatics Championships (Gwangju, South Korea). He currently holds 9 List of Ecuadorian records in swimming, national records in Olympic events, including the 200 metres individual medley, 200 Meters Individual Medley and 400m Individual Medley, 400 Meters Individual Medley. Medley Swimming
Medley is a combination of four different swimming styles—backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle—into one race. This race is either swum by one swimmer as individual medley (IM) or by four swimmers as a medley relay. Individual medley Individual medley consists of a single swimmer swimming equal distances of four different strokes within one race. Stroke order Individual medley consists of four strokes. These four strokes go in an order by Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and finally Freestyle. The swimmer will swim one quarter of the race in each style, in a certain order. 200 Metres Individual Medley
The 200-metre individual medley is a race in competitive swimming in which swimmers compete in all 4 strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle) in one race, with each leg being 50 metres in length. The stroke order is different to the team variant of this race. Michael Phelps is famous for his four-peat at the Olympics, winning the event at each Olympic Games from 2004 to 2016, the only swimmer to have ever won four successive gold medals at the same event.
