Toma Bebić
Toma Bebić (November 6, 1935 – February 4, 1990) was a Croatian multidisciplinary artist: musician, writer, actor, painter and poet. During his life he worked as a navy officer, police inspector and journalist for " Nedjeljna Dalmacija" and "Vjesnik". He published six books of aphorisms, few books of poetry and one children's picture book. The book of aphorisms ''Volite se ljudožderi'' (Love each other, cannibals) was published after his death from his unpublished books, manuscripts and tone records. His albums include ''Volite se ljudožderi'' (1975) and ''Oya noya'' (1980). His well-known song is "Tu tu auto vrag ti piz odni" (Honk Honk Car, May the Devil Take You Away) where he criticizes cars for polluting the air and making so much noise that he cannot hear his mule. Vjesnik
''Vjesnik'' () was a Croatian state-owned daily newspaper published in Zagreb which ceased publication in April 2012. Originally established in 1940 as a wartime illegal publication of the Communist Party of Croatia, it later built and maintained a reputation as Croatia's newspaper of record during most of its post-war history. During World War II and the Nazi-allied Independent State of Croatia regime which controlled the country, the paper served as the primary media publication of the Yugoslav Partisans movement. The August 1941 edition of the paper featured the statement "'' Smrt fašizmu, sloboda narodu''" (''transl''. ''Slobodna Dalmacija'' () is a Croatian daily newspaper published in Split. The first issue of ''Slobodna Dalmacija'' was published on 17 June 1943 by Tito's Partisans in an abandoned stone barn on Mosor, a mountain near Split, while the city was occupied by the Italian army. The paper was later published in various locations until Split was liberated on 26 October 1944. From the following day onward, ''Slobodna Dalmacija'' has been published in Split. Jugoton was the largest record label and chain record store in the former Yugoslavia based in Zagreb, SR Croatia. History Jugoton was formed in 1947. Suzy Records ( hr, Suzy produkcija gramofonskih ploča) is a record label based in Zagreb, Croatia. History The company was established in the then Socialist Republic of Croatia in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1972.
