Tom Sole
Thomas Barclay Sole (born 12 June 1996) is a Scottish cricketer. He made his List A debut for Northamptonshire against the South Africans team on 21 May 2017, during South Africa's tour of England. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Scotland against Ireland in the 2017–18 United Arab Emirates Tri-Nation Series. In March 2018, during the 2018 Cricket World Cup Qualifier match against Hong Kong at the Bulawayo Athletic Club, Bulawayo, Sole took four wickets for fifteen runs. Scotland won the match by 4 wickets after Hong Kong were bowled out for 92 runs. Sole was named as the player of the match for his performance. He made his Twenty20 debut for Northamptonshire in the 2018 t20 Blast on 17 August 2018. Bulawayo Athletic Club
Bulawayo Athletic Club is a sports club in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The Bulawayo Athletic Club Ground is the 12,000-capacity stadium. History The club was founded in 1894. Cricket is the main sport played at the club, but tennis, bowls, squash and billiards are also played. It has also been a significant venue for many international sporting events. On 12 August 2007, a fire broke out at the club, destroying the members' bar area and billiards rooms and causing damages of up to US$400,000. The Walkden Hall, the squash courts and the changing rooms were saved from the blaze. The fire was believed to have been started by an electrical fault. Throwing (cricket)
Throwing, commonly referred to as chucking, is an illegal bowling action in the sport of cricket. This occurs when a bowler straightens the bowling arm when delivering the ball. Throws are not allowed. If the umpire deems that the ball has been thrown, they will call a no-ball, which means the batsman cannot be given out from that delivery. After biomechanical testing showed that all bowlers flex their extended arms to some degree, rules were changed. Current regulations of the International Cricket Council (ICC) set a limit of 15 degrees of permissible straightening of the elbow joint for all bowlers in international cricket. This law applies between the point at which the bowling arm passes above shoulder height and the point at which the ball is released. 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier
The 2019 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier was a cricket tournament held during October and November 2019 in the United Arab Emirates to determine which teams would qualify for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament. The six teams finishing highest in the qualifier tournament joined Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the first group stage of the 2020 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The tournament formed part of the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier series, with the Netherlands winning the final. 2019–20 Ireland Tri-Nation Series
The 2019–20 Ireland Tri-Nation Series was a cricket tournament that was held in September 2019 in Ireland. It was a tri-nation series that featured Ireland, the Netherlands and Scotland, with all the matches played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). The series was arranged after the planned first edition of the Euro T20 Slam was cancelled. The matches were used by all the teams as part of their preparation for the 2019 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament. Both Cricket Scotland and the KNCB thanked Cricket Ireland for agreeing to host the tournament, following the cancellation of the Euro T20 Slam. The Euro T20 Slam is a planned professional Twenty20 cricket league. The first edition of the tournament was initially scheduled to start in August 2019, with matches to be held in Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands. It's launch has been postponed on several occasions due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
