Tom Michalopoulos
Anastasious "Tom" Michalopoulos (January 22, 1950 – April 21, 2021) was a Greek-born Canadian entrepreneur, businessman, president, and founder of Coffee Time. He was also the president of Chairman's Brands the parent company to 241 Pizza, Coffee Time, Eggsmart, New Orleans Pizza, and the Friendly Greek. Michalopoulos immigrated to Canada from Greece, and originally found employment as a real-estate agent before he started Coffee Time a chain of coffee shops. In 1982, along with business partner Young Chang he purchased a coffeehouse named Bentley's Fine Donuts in Bolton, Ontario, and renamed the company to Coffee Time. He eventually franchised the company at one point operated over 300 stores in Canada and had franchises abroad in Greece, Qatar, and Afghanistan. Canadian Professional Soccer League (1998-2005)
The Canadian Soccer League (CSL; french: Ligue canadienne de soccer — LCS) is a semi-professional league for Canadian soccer clubs primarily located in the province of Ontario, and claims the history of the Canadian National Soccer League (CNSL). It is a Non-FIFA league previously sanctioned by the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA), but now affiliated with the Soccer Federation of Canada (SFC). As of 2022, it consists of six teams all located in Ontario. The season runs from May to October, with most games played on the weekend followed by a playoff format to determine the overall champion. Mississauga ( ), historically known as Toronto Township, is a city in the Canadian province of Ontario. It is situated on the shores of Lake Ontario in the Regional Municipality of Peel, adjoining the western border of Toronto. David Gee (soccer)
David Gee is an English soccer head coach, businessman and league administrator of the Ontario Soccer League. He also serves as operations manager for League1 Ontario. Administrative career Gee originally was trained at the Liverpool F.C. Academy, before emigrating to Canada in 1982. Once in Canada he served as the general manager for Soccerworld II in Mississauga, Ontario, and eventually formed his own management company DG Sports Inc in 1993. He originally negotiated with the city of Mississauga in order to promote soccer matches at Hangar 66. In 2001, he purchased the Toronto Olympians from Coffee Time founder Tom Michalopoulos, and retained his position as head coach and general manager.
