Thomas McMillan (Ontario Politician)
Thomas McMillan (March 18, 1864 – June 7, 1932) was a Canadian politician and farmer. McMillan ran and was narrowly defeated as a Laurier Liberal candidate in the 1917 federal election, losing by less than 600 votes. In 1919, he ran for the leadership of the Ontario Liberal Party, but received only eight votes in the leadership convention. He ran as a Liberal candidate in the 1921 federal election, but lost by 44 votes. He was elected the Member of Parliament for Huron South in the 1925 election, and re-elected in the 1926 and 1930 elections The following elections occurred in the year 1930. Thomas McMillan (Canadian Politician)
Thomas Michael McMillan, (born October 15, 1945) is a Canadian political scientist and former politician, the country's third-longest-serving Minister of the Environment (after John Roberts under Pierre Trudeau and Catherine McKenna under Justin Trudeau), in office from 1985 to 1988. A member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, he was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Hillsborough from 1979 until 1988. McMillan is a graduate of St. Dunstan's University (now part of UPEI) and Queen's University (master's in political studies) and has a doctorate in humane letters, ''honoris causa'', from Bridgewater State University. Thomas McLellan McMillan (12 February 1919 – 30 April 1980) was a Scottish Labour politician. McMillan was a wood machinist at Cowlairs railway workshops. He was a councillor on Glasgow City Council from 1962 and of the city's Housing and Health Licensing Court. McMillan was member of parliament for Glasgow Central from 1966 until 1980, when he died at a hospital in London due to injuries sustained falling from a bus two weeks prior. Thomas Erwin McMillan (born September 13, 1951) is an American former professional baseball player whose career spanned seven seasons, including one in Major League Baseball with the Seattle Mariners (1977). As a member of the inaugural Mariners team, McMillan, a shortstop, went hitless in five at-bats. The majority of his career was spent in the minor leagues.
