Tom MacArthur
Thomas Charles MacArthur (born October 16, 1960) is an American former insurance executive and politician. He served as the U.S. representative for from 2015 to 2019. A Republican, MacArthur served on the city council of Randolph, New Jersey, from 2011 through 2013, and as its mayor in 2013. He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2014. Early life, education, and career MacArthur grew up in Hebron, Connecticut. He received his bachelor's degree from Hofstra University. After graduating from Hofstra, MacArthur became an insurance adjuster. He served as the chairman and CEO of York Risk Services Group, a multi-national organization that provides insurance services. He was chairman and chief executive officer of York Risk Services Group for 11 years. Aimee Belgard (born April 30, 1974), is an American lawyer and politician who serves as a judge in New Jersey Superior Court, she served as a Burlington County, New Jersey Freeholder from 2013 until 2016, losing her re-election bid in November 2015. Belgard is a member of the Democratic Party. Belgard was the unsuccessful Democratic nominee for Congress in New Jersey's 3rd congressional district, losing to Republican Tom MacArthur. Adjournment ''sine die'' (from Latin "without a day") is the conclusion of a meeting by a deliberative assembly, such as a legislature or organizational board, without setting a day to reconvene. The assembly can reconvene, either in its present form or a reconstituted form, if preexisting laws and rules provide for this. Otherwise the adjournment effectively dissolves the assembly.
