Tom Kyle
Tom Kyle (born 15 June 1959) is an Australian wheelchair basketball coach who coaches the Queensland Spinning Bullets and the Australian women's national wheelchair basketball team. He was assistant coach of the Australian men's national wheelchair basketball team from 2009 to 2013, during which time it won gold at the IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championship, and silver at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. Biography Tom Kyle was born on 15 June 1959 in Cooma, New South Wales, where his father worked for the Snowy Mountains scheme. As a boy he played cricket, and was captain of the Australian Capital Territory side at the age of 12. He also played rugby league, rugby union, Australian football, soccer and tennis. 2014 Women's World Wheelchair Basketball Championship
Separate men's and women's Wheelchair Basketball World Championship tournaments were held in 2014. The women's tournament was held at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, Canada between 20 and 28 June 2014. It was the largest women's wheelchair basketball world championship in history, with 12 national teams participating. Each team selected a squad of 12 players for the tournament. Medalists Awards Inge Huitzing (Netherlands) was named the most valuable player of the tournament. She was the tournament's top point scorer with 175 points, an average of 21.8 points per game. Janet McLachlan (Canada), Katie Harnock (Canada), Rebecca Murray (United States), Desiree Miller (United States) and Annika Zeyen (Germany) were named to the All Star Five. Brisbane Bullets
The Brisbane Bullets are an Australian professional men's basketball team in the National Basketball League (Australia), National Basketball League (NBL) based in Brisbane, Brisbane, Queensland. They competed from 1979 to 2008, and returned to the league in 2016. Brisbane were one of ten NBL foundation teams and have won three NBL championships, being successful in the 1985 and 1987 seasons, and again in 2007. Adrian Hurley
Adrian Hurley OAM (born 21 April 1944) is an Australian former basketball player and coach. His major achievements include establishing the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) basketball program and leading the Perth Wildcats to the NBL title in 1995. He coached the Australian Boomers at the 1988 and 1992 Olympics and at the 1986 and 1990 FIBA world championships. Playing career Hurley began his basketball career in Wollongong in the early 1960s.
