Tom Jordan (actor)
Tom Jordan (1937 – 29 June 2019) was an Irish actor best known for his part as Charlie Kelly in the Irish soap opera ''Fair City'', a part he had for thirty years between the start of the series in 1989 and his death in 2019. Jordan shared a dressing room with Jim Bartley for most of this time. Between 1968 and 1972, Jordan was a member of the RTÉ Players. A founder member of Project Arts Centre, Jordan spent twelve years working with World Theatre Productions. He served as artistic director of the Belfast's Lyric Theatre from 1987 until 1988. Colleagues recall him as a campaigner for actor rights. Beaumont, Dublin
Beaumont () is a northside suburb of Dublin city, Ireland, bordered by Donnycarney, Santry and Artane. It lies within the postal district of Dublin 9. Etymology The name is derived from the French for "beautiful mount" as the parish is located atop an ascent from Fairview and is inspired by its clean air and views across Dublin to the Wicklow Mountains. The name was apparently given by Olivia Whitemore and Arthur Guinness in 1764, as they made their new family home in Beaumont House, a protected structure and can be visited today. History Beaumont was originally a farm in the Civil Parish of Coolock, between the townlands of Kilmore Big and Kilmore Little. It is the former home of the Guinness family from 1764-1855.
