Tom Hughes (radio Host)
Tom Hughes is an American radio personality. Until November 21, 2006, he was the host of a morning radio news program on WBIN (AM), 640 WGST-AM in Atlanta, Georgia. Hughes had been broadcasting in the Atlanta area for decades, and was affectionately referred to as "The King" among his co-workers at Clear Channel Communications, Clear Channel Atlanta. This is a nickname that was initiated by afternoon show host Kim Peterson, who was let go on the same day. WBIN (640 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Atlanta, Georgia. It is owned by iHeartMedia, through its subsidiary iHM Licenses, LLC. It serves the Atlanta metropolitan area as its affiliate for the Black Information Network. The station's studios and offices located at the Peachtree Palisades Building in the Brookwood Hills district. The transmitter site is off Joseph E. Kim Peterson
Kim Peterson (known to fans as "The Kimmer") is a U.S. television and radio journalist. He recently hosted a news/information talk-show on Atlanta's WYAY NewsRadio 106.7 from 3:00PM to 6:00PM EST. The Show consisted of Peterson as host, Pete Davis as co-host/sports anchor/producer, Chad "The Hangman" Potier as associate producer/call screener and show engineer Jon Michael "Jon-Boy" Drain. From 1992 through 2006, he hosted a radio talk show on WGST-AM in Atlanta, Georgia. Formerly a United States Marine from 1966 to 1969, he served in Vietnam during the Vietnam War and was discharged as a sergeant. WCNN (680 kHz) is an AM radio station licensed to North Atlanta and serving the Atlanta-area radio market. It is owned by Dickey Broadcasting and airs a sports radio format. The station is commonly known by the on-air branding as "The Fan". Local sports shows are heard weekdays with the ESPN Radio Network airing nights and weekends. WCNN is the flagship of the Atlanta Braves Radio Network. Matt McClure is an American journalist and actor. He is currently an anchor for all-news TV station NY1 and health/wellness cable channel Veria Living. Previously, McClure was an anchor/editor for the Wall Street Journal Radio Network. Denny Schaffer
Denny Schaffer is a radio talk show host based in Toledo, Ohio. He left WQQO to host ''The 5:30 Club'' on 93.5 WRQN. He previously hosted a morning show on WWWM-FM, WRNO-FM and an evening show on WGKA 920 in Atlanta from 9 - 11 pm which WGKA moved to 8- 10 pm a few months before Denny was offered a gig in New Orleans. Schaffer came to Atlanta to host a show on 640 WGST until November 21, 2006, when Clear Channel, the company which owns WGST, replaced all of its local hosts with syndicated programming.
