Tom Hooker
Tom Hooker or Thomas Barbey (born Thomas Beecher Hooker on November 18, 1957) is an American people, American singer and photographer. He was the voice and one of the songwriters behind most songs for popular Italo disco artist Den Harrow. The 2018 documentary ''Dons of Disco'' covers Hooker's involvement in the Den Harrow project. History Barbey, best known as Tom Hooker, was brought to Europe when he was six months old. At the age of ten, he started his musical career as a drummer. At 13, he created his first band. Photomontage is the process and the result of making a composite photograph by cutting, gluing, rearranging and overlapping two or more photographs into a new image. Sometimes the resulting composite image is photographed so that the final image may appear as a seamless physical print. Bad Boys Blue are the German pop group formed in Cologne in 1984. The group performed many international hits including "You're a Woman", " Pretty Young Girl", " I Wanna Hear Your Heartbeat", and "Come Back and Stay". The group became massively popular in Eastern Europe, South America, and South Africa, with the band performing to sell-out crowds in Russia and Ukraine. Linda Jo Rizzo (born 1 April 1955, in New York City) is an American singer, songwriter and producer, with Italian roots, currently based in Germany. Originally from the United States, she was a photo model and studied nourishing sciences in New York. There she met Bobby Orlando and participated in his group, The Flirts, from 1983 to 1984. In 1984, Rizzo moved to Germany and started her own music career there. Rizzo was the owner of an Italian music restaurant in Munich called Piazza Linda, which was sold in August 2008. "Swiss Boy" is a single by Italo disco singer Tom Hooker, released in 1986 under the pseudonym Lou Sern (a pun on the Swiss city of Lucerne). At the beginning and towards the end of the song, a recreation of the Westminster Quarters clock chime can be heard. The single was backed with the track "Cuckoo Clock (Instrumental)". Although the song was popular in Italy and in Europe, it was a much bigger hit in the Philippines, where it still remains popular to this day. "Cry" is a song released by the English music duo Godley & Creme on 11 March 1985. It was included on the duo's album ''The History Mix Volume 1''. The song reached number 16 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart, becoming Godley & Creme's lone Top 40 hit in the US apart from their former band, 10cc. It reached No. 19 on the UK Singles Chart. The duo also directed the song's music video, which featured faces blended into each other using dissolving and wiping effects. Edward Huntington (born 29 October 1965) is an English pop singer who began his professional singing career in Italy. Huntington became popular in Europe and the former USSR mainly with his song "U.S.S.R." which peaked at No.6 in Switzerland and No. 23 in Germany. Biography and career Eddy Huntington was born in the northeast of England and moved to London at the age of 18, where he became a music video extra and model. He was discovered by Baby Records, an Italian record label that took him to Milan to record the song "USSR" written by R. Turatti, M. Chieregato and T. Hooker who also sings on refrains.
