Tom Feeney (hurler)
Tom Feeney (born 1974) is an Irish former hurler who played as a full-back for the Waterford senior team. Feeney joined the team during the 1993-94 National League and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 2008 championship. During that time he won one Munster winners' medal. Feeney ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. At club level Feeney is a one-time county championship medalist with Ballyduff Upper. He also played with the Sarsfields in Cork. Playing career Club Feeney played his club hurling with the Ballyduff Upper club in Waterford. In 2007 he lined out in the final of the county championship with Ballygunner providing the opposition. A 1-18 to 1-14 victory gave Feeney a Waterford Senior Hurling Championship medal. Ballyduff Upper GAA
Ballyduff Upper GAA Club is a GAA club based in the west County Waterford village of Ballyduff, Republic of Ireland. The club has won the Waterford Senior Hurling Championship three times, in 1982, 1987 and most recently in 2007. While mainly a hurling club, the club has had some success in Gaelic football, winning the Waterford Senior Football Championship in 1924. Ballyduff won the 2007 Waterford Senior Championship after beating Ballygunner on a scoreline of 1-18 to 1-14. Ballyduff are the first West Waterford side to win the county championship since 1993. National Hurling League
The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Although primarily a competition for Irish teams, teams from England – currently Lancashire GAA, Lancashire, London GAA, London and Warwickshire GAA, Warwickshire – also take part, while in the past New York GAA, New York also fielded a team for the latter stages of the league. Teams representing subdivisions of counties, such as Fingal GAA, Fingal and Down GAA, South Down have also participated at various times. Stephen Molumphy
Stephen Molumphy (born 11 January 1984) is an Irish former hurler with Waterford senior hurling team and currently manager of the Kerry senior hurling team. He played for Waterford Senior Championship club Ballyduff Upper and was a member of the Waterford senior hurling team for nine seasons, during which time he usually lined out in midfield or as a left wing-forward. Playing career St. Colman's College Molumphy first came to prominence as a hurler with St. Colman's College in Fermoy. He played in every grade of hurling and enjoyed success by winning a Dean Ryan Cup medal before eventually joining the college's senior hurling team. Justin McCarthy (hurler)
Justin J. McCarthy (born 1945 in Passage West, County Cork) is an Irish former hurling manager and former player, who took over as manager of the Limerick senior inter-county team in October 2008. He played hurling with his local club Passage and with the Cork senior inter-county team in the 1960s and 1970s. As a player McCarthy was involved with the Cork team of the late 1960s. In a senior inter-county career that lasted from 1964 until 1974 he won one All-Ireland title, three Munster titles, two National Hurling League titles and two Railway Cup titles. Over the last four decades McCarthy has had some success as a manager with many different teams. In the 1970s he coached Antrim to an All-Ireland title at intermediate level before capturing back-to-back National Hurling League titles with Clare.
