Tom Brighton
Tom Brighton (born 28 March 1984) is a Scottish professional footballer, who played as a centre forward. Early life Brighton was educated at Marr College in Troon. Career Brighton began his career at Rangers, where he played only one game, before going to Scunthorpe United for a short loan spell. He was released from his contract with Rangers in June 2005. He played in the Scottish Youth Cup final in 2002. Rangers defeated Ayr United 4β2 at New Douglas Park, with Brighton assisting Rangers' last goal. He was then recruited by Clyde during the close season and made his debut in the opening league game against Ross County. Brighton was voted Man of the Match in Clyde's Scottish Cup shock win over Celtic. He left Clyde in 2006 after manager Graham Roberts was accused of racist remarks during a pre-season tour of Canada. New Douglas Park, currently known as the ZLX Stadium for sponsorship purposes, is a football stadium in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, which serves as the home of Scottish Championship side Hamilton Academical and Scottish League One side Clyde. It takes its name from Douglas Park, the club's former stadium which was located immediately to the south of the current site. Stadium The stadium is located in the north of Hamilton, close to the Burnbank and Whitehill residential areas and to Hamilton West railway station. The 2011β12 Scottish Challenge Cup, known as the Ramsdens Challenge Cup due to sponsorship reasons with Ramsdens, was the 21st season of the competition. It was competed for by 32 clubs, which included the 30 members of the Scottish Football League, and for the first time the top two clubs of the Highland Football League. The defending champions were Ross County, who defeated Queen of the South in the 2010 final but were knocked out in the first round by Third Division side Elgin City. The tournament winners were Falkirk, who defeated Hamilton Academical in the final with Darren Dods scoring the only goal of the match in the 2nd minute. Gus MacPherson
Angus Ian MacPherson (born 11 October 1968) is a Scottish football former player and coach. MacPherson's playing career saw spells at Rangers, Exeter City, Kilmarnock, Dunfermline Athletic and St Mirren. His management career began at his final playing club St Mirren (initially as a player-manager), who he guided to promotion in 2006. MacPherson has since managed Queen of the South and Queen's Park who he guided to promotion in 2016. He returned to St Mirren in September 2018 in an advisory role, a position he held until August 2020. MacPherson then had a stint as manager of Greenock Morton. Graham Roberts (footballer)
Graham Paul Roberts (born 3 July 1959) is an English retired footballer and manager who played as a defender for numerous clubs including Tottenham Hotspur (where he won the FA Cup and the UEFA Cup), Rangers (where he won the Scottish League and Scottish League Cup), Chelsea (where he won the Second Division) and West Bromwich Albion. He was also capped six times by England. He subsequently served as the head coach of the Pakistan national team and Nepal national team. Playing career Early career Roberts was born in Southampton, and joined his local club, Southampton F.C, as an associate schoolboy in October 1973, but failed to make the grade and was released, joining Portsmouth in March 1977.
