Dustin Tokarski
Dustin Michael Tokarski (born September 16, 1989) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, but grew up in neighbouring Watson, which he considers his hometown. Tokarski led the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League (WHL) to the 2008 Memorial Cup and was named the top goaltender and most valuable player of the tournament. Tokarski then backstopped Canada to their fifth consecutive gold medal at the 2009 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. He was originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the fifth round, 122nd overall, at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He has won the American Hockey League's (AHL) Calder Cup twice: first with the Norfolk Admirals in 2012, and then with the Charlotte Checkers in 2019. Genowefa Tokarska
Genowefa Tokarska, née Bzdyra (born 5 August 1949) is a Polish politician who served as a member of the Sejm from 2011 to 2019. Born in Biszcza, she graduated from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, then the Lublin Agricultural Academy, and in 1989 graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics. After graduating from Lublin, she became a teacher at an agricultural school in Różaniec from 1972 to 1978, then worked at a bank in Księżpol, serving as its director from 1981 to 1990. In 1990, Tokarska became mayor of Gmina Biszcza, and served five terms in that role. In 2007, she was elected governor of Lublin Voivodeship. After serving a term as governor, she was selected by the Polish People's Party as a candidate for the Sejm out of Chełm, and as elected with 8,906 votes; she was re-elected to the same position in 2015 with 4,606 votes. Joanna Sabina Tokarska-Bakir (born 1958) is a Polish cultural anthropologist, literary scholar, and religious studies scholar. She is a full professor and chair of the ethnic and national relations study at the Polish Academy of Sciences's Institute of Slavic Studies. She specializes in blood libel, historical anthropology and in particular violence, and Holocaust ethnography. Career In 1983, Tokarska-Bakir received her MA in Ethnology from the University of Warsaw in 1983, and her doctorate in 1993 also from Warsaw. She completed her habilitation at Warsaw in 2001. Maja Tokarska (born 22 February 1991) is a Polish volleyball player, a member of the national team and Polish club Legionovia Legionowo. Internationally she was the bronze medalist of European League and silver medalist of European Games, as well as winning multiple domestic club honours in Poland and Japan.
