Boris Tokarev (russian: Борис Токарев; May 16, 1927 – December 17, 2002) was a Soviet Union, Soviet athlete who competed mainly in the 100 and 200 metres. He trained in Leningrad and later in Moscow at the Armed Forces (sports society), Armed Forces sports society. Nikolai Aleksandrovich Tokarev (Russian: Николай Александрович Токарев), born 15 September 1983 in Moscow, is a Russian pianist. Biography The musical education of Nikolai Tokarev began in 1988 at the Gnessin Music School in Moscow where he was graduated in 2001. From 2001 to 2006 he continued his studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and afterwards at the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf. In 2003 he was awarded the first prize of the piano competition Kissinger Klavierolymp (together with Martin Helmchen). In 2006 he won the second prize and the prize of the audience of the Concours Géza Anda in Zürich. Tokarev has performed with orchestras, most notably the National Philharmonic of Russia and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. Her work has been translated into English and is available in several anthologies as well as in ''The Talisman and Other Stories'' - a book of Tokareva's short stories translated by Rosamund Bartlett. She lives in Moscow, where she continues to write. Biography Viktoriya Tokareva was born in 1937 in Leningrad, in the Soviet Union. Her love for literature began at the age of twelve, when her mother read her "Skripka Rotschil'da" (“ Rothschild’s Violin”), a short story by Chekhov. Willi Ivanovich Tokarev (; 11 November 1934 – 4 August 2019) was a Russian-American singer-songwriter. In the 1980s, he became famous throughout the Soviet Union for his songs about life as a Russian ''émigré'' in New York in Brighton Beach. Early life and education Vilen Ivanovich Tokarev was born in the small Cossack village of Chernyshev in Adyghe Autonomous Oblast, North Caucasus Krai, Soviet Union, on 11 November 1934. His father was a Kuban Cossack by birth. His parents named him in honor of Vladimir Lenin (see names of Soviet origin), as the Soviet name "Vilen" is an acronym for "Vladimir Ilyich Lenin". In 1941 his family moved to the town of Kaspiysk in Dagestan. In 1948, he made his first sea voyage, as a fireman.
