Tojo Una-Una Regency
Tojo Una-Una Regency is a regency of Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. The administrative centre is at Ampana town, on the Sulawesi 'mainland'. While the Regency includes a considerable area on the eastern peninsula of Sulawesi, it also includes the Togian Islands in the Gulf of Tomini. The total area covers 5,721.51 km2 and the population was 134,945 at the 2010 Census and 163,829 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2021 was 166,339. History In 1999, Tojo Una-Una Regency was created out of the eastern portion of Poso Regency. Administration At the time of the 2010 Census, the Tojo Una-Una Regency was divided into nine districts (''kecamatan''). Subsequent to 2010, three additional districts have been created - Batudaka, Ratolindo and Talatako. Bunaken
Bunaken is an island of 8 km2, part of the Bunaken National Marine Park. Bunaken is located at the northern tip of the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. It belongs administratively to the municipality of Manado. Scuba diving attracts many visitors to the island. Bunaken National Park extends over an area of 890.65 km2 of which only 3% is terrestrial, including Bunaken Island, as well as the islands of Manado Tua, Mantehage, Nain and Siladen. The waters of Bunaken National Marine Park are up to 1,566 m deep in Manado Bay, with temperatures ranging between 27 and 29 °C. It has a high diversity of - corals, fish, echinoderms or sponges. Notably, 7 of the 8 species of giant clams that occur in the world, occur in Bunaken. Biodiversity
Biodiversity or biological diversity is the variety and variability of life on Earth. Biodiversity is a measure of variation at the genetic (''genetic variability''), species (''species diversity''), and ecosystem (''ecosystem diversity'') level. Una-Una (district)
Una-Una (Indonesian: Pulau Una-Una) is an Indonesian island, part of the Togian Islands in the Gulf of Tomini. Una-Una is a small volcanic island created by the Colo volcano. Its vegetation primarily consists of coconut trees. Most of the island was devastated by pyroclastic flows following an eruption of the volcano in 1983. Currently its population is approximately 200 inhabitants and is concentrated in the island's 3 villages: Unauna, Kololio and Tampobatu. The island is part of the Central Sulawesi province. Una Una is surrounded by thriving reefs home to big schools of fish. It has been known as a location for scubadiving since the 1990s.
