Tohoku Derby
Tohoku derby (東北ダービー) refers to matches played between professional association football, football clubs of Tohoku region, Japan. This area consists of six Prefectures of Japan, prefectures and such clubs include Vanraure Hachinohe, Iwate Grulla Morioka, Vegalta Sendai, Blaublitz Akita, Montedio Yamagata, Fukushima United FC, and Iwaki FC. Historically, the most significant are games which were played between Vegalta and Montedio (:ja:みちのくダービー, Michinoku derby), the two most successful of Tohoku's football clubs. The Blaublitz vs Montedio derby is called Ōu Honsen and played in the former Dewa Province. Nambu Domain
300px, Ruins of Morioka Castle was a '' tozama'' feudal domain of Edo period Japan. It was ruled throughout its history by the Nanbu clan. It was called during the early part of its history. It was located in northern Mutsu Province, Honshū, covering the eastern half of what is now Aomori Prefecture and the northern two-thirds of what is now Iwate Prefecture and the Kazuno District of what is now Akita Prefecture. The domain was centered at Morioka Castle in the city of Morioka. For most of its history, Morioka Domain had an official ''kokudaka'' of 100,000 ''koku'', although its actual revenues were much higher. Soyu Stadium
Soyu Stadium, formerly known as , is an athletic stadium in Akita, Akita, Japan. Located approximately 3 kilometers from the city center, the Akita Yabase Stadium is a multi-use facility opened in September 1941. It has been renovated several times, including a complete rebuilding in 1981, track repairs in 1985, and modifications in 1995 to accommodate the requirements for J.League soccer. The stadium was the main venue for the World Games 2001. It also hosted the National Sports Festival of Japan in 1961 and 2007. The facilities is the home stadium for the Blaublitz Akita, a J.League team. Yurtec Stadium Sendai
is a football (soccer), football stadium in the Nanakita Park, Izumi-ku, Sendai, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. 2023 J2 League
The 2023 J2 League, also known as the for sponsorship reasons, will be the 25th season of the J2 League, the second-tier Japanese professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1999. Overview This is the last season to be played with 22 participating clubs, as the number of clubs will be reduced to 20 from the 2024 season. FC Ryukyu and Iwate Grulla Morioka were relegated to the 2023 J3 League, finishing the previous J2 League season as 21st and 22nd-placed team, respectively. Relegated from J1, both Shimizu S-Pulse and Júbilo Iwata were the only Shizuoka-based J1 teams last season. Now, they return to J2 after spending six and one season, respectively, at the top flight.
