Togo
Togo, officially the Togolese Republic, is a country in West Africa. It is bordered by Ghana to Ghana–Togo border, the west, Benin to Benin–Togo border, the east and Burkina Faso to Burkina Faso–Togo border, the north. It is one of the least developed countries and extends south to the Gulf of Guinea, where its capital city, capital, Lomé, is located. It is a small, tropical country, spanning with a population of approximately 8 million, and it has a width of less than between Ghana and its eastern neighbour Benin. Various peoples settled the boundaries of present-day Togo between the 11th and 16th centuries. Between the 16th and 18th centuries, the coastal region served primarily as a Atlantic slave trade, European slave trading outpost, earning Togo and the surrounding region the name "The Slave Coast of West Africa, Slave Coast". Welliton de Moraes Coimbra, known as Tozin or Tozim (born 10 November 1984), is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for Interporto. He has played abroad in China, Japan and Saudi Arabia. Career Tozin spent his early career on loan from Gurupi to various clubs competing in Brazilian state football. In July 2007 he signed a 1-year deal with Legião. Gahoun Kossi Georges Hégbor (born August 18, 1940) is a Togolese politician who co-founded the Action Committee for Renewal (CAR) political party.. Early life and education Hégbor was born in Baguida in 1940. In 1965, he received a technical certificate in journalism in Paris. Later on, Hégbor earned a law degree (DESS) at Panthéon-Assas University in 1975 and was admitted to the bar in 1978. Atakpamé is the fifth largest city in Togo by population (84,979 inhabitants in 2006), located in the Plateaux Region of Togo. ) is a Togolese politician. He is a son of Gnassingbé Eyadéma, President of Togo from 1967 to 2005, and a brother of Faure Gnassingbé, who has been President since 2005. From 2005 to 2007, Kpatcha Gnassingbé was Minister of Defense. In April 2009, he was arrested on suspicion of plotting to overthrow his brother.
