''Todessehnsucht'' is the second studio album by the heavy metal band Atrocity. It was released in 1992. At the time the band still played death metal with a technical edge. History The album was released in some countries with the title ''Longing for Death'', which is a translation of the original German title. The album was released in 1992 by Roadrunner Records. The final track on the album, "Archangel", is a cover of Death; however the lyrics are re-written as the original ones are not available. Atrocity (band)
Atrocity is a German heavy metal band from Ludwigsburg that formed in 1985. History First started in 1985 as Instigators and playing grindcore, Atrocity arose as a death metal band with their debut EP, ''Blue Blood'', in 1989, followed soon by ''Hallucinations'', a concept album about drug use. Their second album, '' Todessehnsucht'' ("longing for death"), ventured into death metal classics with a cover of "Archangel" by the band Death. Their musical scope broadened over the years, incorporating medieval and horror influences on their 1994 Dracula-based concept album ''Atrocity's Blut'', (styled after the successful film '' Bram Stoker's Dracula''). ''Hallucinations'' is the debut album by the German death metal band Atrocity. It was released in 1990 by Roadrunner Records and was produced by Scott Burns. It is a concept album which follows the story of a young girl who is sexually abused as a child, and her descent into drug abuse, prostitution and eventual death. The album was reissued in 1997 with the ''Blue Blood'' EP. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. Alexander Krull
Alexander Krull (born 31 July 1970) is a German musician who is the lead vocalist for metal band Atrocity, as well as backing vocalist in the band Leaves' Eyes. Biography Krull was born in Ludwigsburg, where he formed Atrocity in 1985. He has also worked as a music producer for Elis, Leaves' Eyes, and Erben der Schöpfung. He uses the Mastersound Studio for his recording work with the bands. Personal life Krull was married to Liv Kristine of the Norwegian gothic metal band Theatre of Tragedy on 3 July 2003.
