Todd Foster
Todd Foster (born August 27, 1967, in Great Falls, Montana) is a former American boxer in the Welterweight division. Amateur career Foster was an amateur boxing standout. In the Light welterweight division, he was the 1987 National Golden Gloves champion, silver medalist at the 1987 Pan American Games, and 1988 United States Amateur champion, which earned a seed in the Olympic trials. Olympic results Foster was a member of the 1988 US Olympic Team, boxing as a Light Welterweight. Great Falls is the third most populous city in the U.S. state of Montana and the county seat of Cascade County. The population was 60,442 according to the 2020 census. Welterweight
Welterweight is a weight class in combat sports. Originally the term "welterweight" was used only in boxing, but other combat sports like Muay Thai, taekwondo, and mixed martial arts also use it for their own weight division system to classify the opponents. In most sports that use it, welterweight is heavier than lightweight but lighter than middleweight. Etymology The first known instance of the term is from 1831, meaning "heavyweight horseman," later "boxer or wrestler of a certain weight" by 1896.
