Todd Cooley
Todd Cooley (born September 7, 1975) is an American football coach. He is the head football coach for Delta State University; a position he has held since 2013. Cooley grew up in Nashville, Arkansas and graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a degree in English. At ATU, Cooley started at quarterback from 1996 to 1997 and was a nominee for the Harlon Hill Award. He began his coaching career in 1998 at Arkansas Tech and has also served as an offensive assistant coach at Northeastern State where he received his master's degree, Ouachita Baptist Ouachita Baptist University (OBU) is a private Baptist university in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. 2021 Delta State Statesmen Football Team
The 2021 Delta State Statesmen football team represented Delta State University as a member of the Gulf South Conference (GSC) during the 2021 NCAA Division II football season. They were led by ninth-year head coach Todd Cooley. The Statesmen played their home games at Parker Field at Horace McCool Stadium in Cleveland, Mississippi. Previous season The Statesmen finished the 2019 season 6–4, 5–3 in Gulf South Conference (GSC) play, to finish third in the conference standings. On August 12, 2020, Gulf South Conference postponed fall competition in 2020 for several sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
