Toby Nixon
Toby Nixon (born March 26, 1959) is an American politician in Washington. Nixon is serving as a member of the Kirkland City Council from Position 4 since 2012. Nixon is a former Republican member of Washington House of Representatives, representing the 45th district from 2002 to 2007. He was appointed to a vacant House seat in 2002, and was elected as an incumbent in 2004. He served on the House Committee for State Government Operations and Accountability as a ranking member, and is known for his advocacy on behalf of open government. He also served on the Technology, Energy and Communications Committee and the Transportation Committee. Washington's 45th Legislative District
Washington's 45th legislative district is one of forty-nine districts in Washington state for representation in the state legislature. It extends from Kirkland on the west, to Duvall on the east, and Sammamish on the south. The district's legislators are state senator Manka Dhingra and state representatives Roger Goodman (position 1) and Larry Springer (position 2), all Democrats. On November 7, 2017, there was a special election to fill the district's state senate seat. Independent Parker Harris was eliminated in the top-two primary, and then Democrat Manka Dhingra defeated Republican Jinyoung Englund by 11 points, handing control of the Washington State Senate to the Democrats. Kathy Lambert
Kathy Kristensen Lambert (born February 1953) served as an American politician and educator from Washington state. Lambert was a 20 year member of the King County Council for the third district, the largest district covering much of the eastern part of the county. Lambert is a former Republican member of the Washington House of Representatives where she served in leadership and taught elementary and middle school. She is also a published author and poet. Roger Goodman
Roger Elliot Goodman (born 1961) is an American lawyer and politician serving as a Democratic member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing the 45th district since 2007. Goodman won re-election in 2012 against Republican Joel Hussey. Goodman has been described by the Seattle Times as "progressive." Education Goodman earned an A.B degree from Dartmouth College, A.B. in 1983 and three years later he was awarded a J.D. from The George Washington University. Kirkland is a city in King County, Washington, United States. A suburb east of Seattle, its population was 92,175 in the 2020 U.S. census which made it the sixth largest city in the county and the twelfth largest in the state. The Washington State Senate is the upper house of the Washington State Legislature. The body consists of 49 members, each representing a district with a population of nearly 160,000. Finkbeiner (born May 5, 1969) is an American businessman and politician who served as a member of the Washington State Senate, representing the Washington's 45th legislative district, 45th district from 1995 2007. Eric W. Oemig (born November 5, 1967) is an American politician and engineer who served as a member of the Washington State Senate, representing the 45th district from 2007 to 2011.
