Maribor
Maribor ( , , , ; also known by other #Name, historical names) is the second-largest city in Slovenia and the largest city of the traditional region of Styria (Slovenia), Lower Styria. The Women's EHF Champions League is the competition for the top women's handball clubs in Europe, organised annually by the European Handball Federation (EHF). It is the most prestigious tournament for clubs, with the champions of Europe's top national leagues participating. Tournament structure Each year, the EHF publishes a ranking list of its member federations. The first 27 nations are allowed to participate in the tournament with their national champion. 2017–18 Women's EHF Champions League
The 2017–18 EHF Champions League was the 25th edition of Europe's premier club handball tournament. Győri ETO defended their title by defeating HC Vardar in the final. Competition format 16 teams participated in the competition, divided in four groups who played in a round robin, home and away format.
