Tiémoko Konaté
Tiémoko Konaté (born 3 March 1990) is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays as a winger. Konaté started out his career in his native Ivory Coast before a prolific period at Czech club Sparta Prague where he would play for six years, winning the Czech First League championship and the Czech Cup in 2014. A dynamic winger, he is known for his agility and strong technique. Career Early career A winger, Konaté began his career in his native Ivory Coast at EFYM in Abidjan. During the 2011 season, the club advanced from the Ivorian second tier to the MTN Ligue 1 with Konaté being voted the Ligue 2 Player of the Year for his performances during the season. After the season ended, he joined Africa Sports who had won the championship the year before. Abidjan ( , ; N'Ko script, N’ko: ߊߓߌߖߊ߲߬) is the economic capital of the Ivory Coast. Penalty Shoot-out (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. Balls successfully kicked into the goal during a shoot-out do not count as goals for the individual kickers or the team, and are tallied separately from the goals scored during normal play (including extra time, if any). The 2013–14 Czech First League, known as the Gambrinus liga for sponsorship reasons, was the 21st season of the Czech Republic's top-tier football league. The season began on 19 July 2013 and ended on 31 May 2014. Sparta Prague won their 36th title on 4 May 2014, after defending champions Plzeň drew against Jablonec. Marek Matějovský (born 20 December 1981) is a Czech footballer who plays for FK Mladá Boleslav as a central midfielder. Club career Early career Matějovský started his football career at the age of five with Slavoj Stará Boleslav, progressing to Alfa Brandýs nad Labem at the age of 13. The 2012–13 Czech First League, known as the Gambrinus liga for sponsorship reasons, was the 20th season of the Czech Republic's top-tier football league. The defending champions were Liberec, who won their third Czech First League title the previous season. A number of games were postponed due to adverse weather conditions. On 18 March the game between Jihlava and Mladá Boleslav was postponed due to heavy snow. A second game was postponed, before, on 10 May 2013, the match between Dukla Prague and Brno became the third match to be postponed, this time due to a waterlogged pitch.
