Tivadar Puskás (born 16 August 1952) is a Hungarian physician, who served as the mayor of Szombathely since from 2010 to 2019. He was elected member of the National Assembly (MP) for Szombathely ( Vas County Constituency I) in the 2010 parliamentary election. Szombathely
Szombathely (; german: Steinamanger, ; see also other alternative names) is the 10th largest city in Hungary. It is the administrative centre of Vas county in the west of the country, located near the border with Austria. Szombathely lies by the streams ''Perint'' and ''Gyöngyös'' (literally "pearly"), where the Alpokalja (Lower Alps) mountains meet the Little Hungarian Plain. The oldest city in Hungary, it is known as the birthplace of Saint Martin of Tours. Fidesz – Hungarian Civic Alliance (; hu, Fidesz – Magyar Polgári Szövetség) is a right-wing populist and national-conservative political party in Hungary, led by Viktor Orbán. It was formed in 1988 under the name of Alliance of Young Democrats () as a centre-left and liberal activist movement that opposed the ruling Marxist–Leninist government. It was registered as a political party in 1990, with Orbán as its leader. It entered the National Assembly following the 1990 parliamentary election, although, it lost two seats after the 1994 election. Following the election, it adopted liberal-conservatism which caused liberal members to leave and to join the Alliance of Free Democrats. 2010 Hungarian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Hungary on 11 and 25 April 2010 to elect the members of the National Assembly. They were the sixth free elections since the end of the communist era. 386 Members of Parliament (MPs) were elected in a combined system of party lists and electoral constituencies. Electoral law in Hungary requires candidates to gather 500 signatures from citizens supporting their candidacy. In the first round of the elections, the conservative party Fidesz won the absolute majority of seats, enough to form a government on its own. György Ipkovich (born 17 March 1954) is a Hungarian jurist, who served as the mayor of Szombathely from 2002 to 2010. He was elected member of the National Assembly (MP) from the Vas County Regional List of the Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP) in 2005. Studies and work experience Ipkovich completed his primary studies at hometown. He finished Nagy Lajos Secondary Grammar School at Pécs in 1972. In 1973 he has been admitted to the Faculty of Law of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). Between 1973 and 1974 he did his military service in Kalocsa. He took a degree in 1979. From 1974, he was a member of Lawyer-student Committee of the college, then was a secretary until 1979. In this period the movement of boarder began in the university. The Christian Democratic People's Party ( hu, Kereszténydemokrata Néppárt, KDNP) is a right-wing Christian democratic political party in Hungary.
