Titti (bagpipe)
The titti ( te, titti, masaka titti, or tutti) is a type of bagpipe played in Andhra Pradesh, India, made from an entire goat-skin.Subhash Kak (Louisiana State University). The instrument is described as a goatskin with a double-reed inserted into one leg, and a bamboo blowpipe into the other. The term ''tittii'' is used in Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. History Several paintings possibly depicting bagpipes are shown in Kerala, from the early eighteenth century. Colonel James Tod (1782–1835 CE) notes that the Yanadis, a forest tribe in Madras, also play the bagpipes,as do later sources in 1900 describing the Yanadi. Usage The instrument is often used to provide solely a constant drone. Titti Maartmann
Titti Astri Maartmann (27 September 1920 – 18 September 2018) was a Norwegian luger who competed in the late 1930s. She won a gold medal in the women's singles event at the 1937 European luge championships in Oslo, Norway. Living an active life, she still played golf at age 97. Her uncles were soccer players Erling Maartmann and Rolf Maartmann. Her great-grandfather was Norwegian politician Knud Geelmuyden Fleischer Maartmann. Her grandfather was Harald Sigvart Maartmann, the first Executive Director of Ringnes Ringnes is the largest brewer in Norway. owned by the Carlsberg Group. History Ringnes AS was founded in 1876. Titti Qvarnström
Titti Qvarnström is a Swedish chef who held a Michelin star at the restaurant Bloom in the Park in Malmö, making Qvarnström the first woman in the Nordic edition of the guide to win a star. Career Titti Qvarnström was born in Malmö, Sweden, and grew up in the city and around Skåne. As a child, she experienced the range of wild ingredients that the area had to offer. Qvarnström's step father was a biologist, who would take her out on nature expeditions. She trained as a chef in Copenhagen, Denmark, and went on to work for several restaurants in Berlin, Germany. When she returned to Malmö, she took up the role of executive chef at Bloom in the Park. Initially it was difficult to attract local customers, but this changed after Qvarnström was named the Rising Star of 2010 in the ''White Guide''.
