Titanium Rain
''Titanium Rain'' is a Limited series (comics), limited series published by Archaia Studios Press, written by Josh Finney, with art by Josh Finney and Kat Rocha. Plot In the year 2031, a civil war in China has spiraled into global conflict. After the assassination of Chairman P'eng (China's supreme military leader), General Kao Shen of the People's Liberation Army, PLA decides it's time for China to return to its former imperial glory and declares himself Emperor of China. The United States is pulled into the conflict when Kao Shen launches a ambush, sneak attack against Japan in an effort to goad the nation into war. The story follows United States Air Force pilot, Alec Killian, and the other members of the 704th Phoenix (mythology), Phoenix Tactical Fighter Squadron stationed on the front lines of the conflict at Mamoru Air Base, a converted civilian airport located on Hainan Island. Archaia Entertainment, LLC, commonly known as Archaia (formerly known as Archaia Studios Press), is an imprint of American comic book and graphic novel publisher Boom! Studios. Archaia Entertainment, LLC was originally an American comic book publishing company established by Mark Smylie in 2002. On June 24, 2013, Archaia was acquired by Boom! Studios and became a wholly owned imprint. History Mark Smylie formed the company as a home for his comic book series '' Artesia''. The original Artesia publisher, Sirius Entertainment, published the first 6 issue mini-series ''Artesia'' in 1999 and the second 6 issue mini-series ''Artesia Afield'' in 2000 in full color. In an attempt to keep costs down, Sirius wanted to print the third series ''Artesia Afire'' in black and white. Smylie decided to take the series back from the publisher and open his own publishing outfit to finance the full color publication of the third series.
