Rob Tissera
Rob Tissera (born 1966) is a British hard house disc jockey and record producer. His releases have achieved UK chart success over a year period from 1996, and he is known for his live performances and club nights. Biography Tissera has achieved chart success under his own name, and with Ian Bland as ''Quake''. He has also released tracks under the name of ''Circle City'', through the Warp record label. Tissera is known for his live performances at events such as Global Gathering, Creamfields and Homelands, and for promoting the Leeds-based Kissdafunk club night. His music has been played by a range of well-known DJs, including Pete Tong, Carl Cox, and Judge Jules. In 2012 Tissera made it into the Mixmag list of top badly behaved DJs, after getting into trouble with the authorities for inciting the Kissdafunk crowd to resist the police. Matías Tissera
Matías Tissera (born 6 September 1996) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ludogorets Razgrad. Career Tissera spent his youth career with Argentino de Rojas, Sarmiento de Rosario and Newell's Old Boys. He entered the first-team of Newell's Old Boys in March 2017, making his debut on 18 March in a 3–0 victory over Vélez Sarsfield. Four further appearances followed during 2016–17. On 14 August 2017, Tissera was loaned to Primera B Nacional's Quilmes until June 2018. He featured in twelve matches for Quilmes as they finished 12th. Upon returning to his parent club, Tissera was loaned out again to Independiente Rivadavia of Primera B Nacional. In February 2022, Tissera joined Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad. Michael Tissera
Michael Hugh Tissera (born 23 March 1939 in Colombo) is a former Sri Lankan ODI cricketer who played in the 1975 Cricket World Cup. School Tissera was educated at S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia, where, initially appearing in 1954 aged fourteen, he captained the Thomian cricket team in the Royal–Thomian series, known as "The Battle of the Blues", in 1957 and 1958. He made his first-class debut in March 1959, in the annual Gopalan Trophy encounter between Ceylon and Madras. International career Tissera captained Ceylon to its first victory over a Test-playing nation in Ahmedabad in 1965, when his bold declaration in a low-scoring match led to victory over India by four wickets. He was selected as vice-captain for the tour of England with the Ceylon team in 1968, but the tour was cancelled just before it was due to begin. Warnakulasuriya Philip Antony Protus Tissera (11 September 1925 – 14 October 2007) was a Ceylonese politician. Tissera was born 11 September 1925, the son of Benedict Tissera and Corilethina née Dabarera. He was educated at the R. C. School, Katuneriya, Joseph Vaz College, Wennappuwa, St. Sebastian's College, Moratuwa and St. Mary's College, Chilaw. He served as a member of the Kammalpattu Village Committee. Tissera contested the 6th parliamentary elections held on 22 March 1965 for the Nattandiya electorate, as the Sri Lanka Freedom Party candidate. He lost to the incumbent, Albert Peries by 5,409 votes. Sobers–Tissera Trophy
The Sobers–Tissera Trophy is a cricket trophy, awarded to the winners of Test series between West Indies and Sri Lanka. It was first awarded following the 2015-16 series between the sides. The trophy is named after Sir Garfield Sobers and Michael Tissera, prominent cricketers of old from the two countries. The first Sobers–Tissera Trophy was lifted by Sri Lanka in 2015.
